Account name question...

Hi, I was wondering if when you set up a new account you HAVE to use your email address as a username??? If I want to have multiple accounts I will run out of email adresses...What do I do??? Help!

Given that you can only have one account per key, how many accounts are you planning on having? :P

I have Prophecies and Factions accounts that are not linked. They are separate accounts and if I want to buy Nightfall or other future GWs, I need to make other accounts right? So I will probally run out of email adresses. Help!

Why wouldn't you link any future games to your current accounts?

Anyway - I don't think you can use anything except an e-mail address for account name. If you insist that all games you get be on separate accounts (which I don't quite understand), just make new e-mail addresses at free sites (i.e. yahoo.com).

Oh noes!!! You can add the access key of new chapters to your existing account. When you link the chapters to the same account, you can play thorough the new chapter with existing characters. You don't need to make a new account for each chapter.

No your not stupid at all I know a few people who thought each campaign was a separate game
and needed separate accounts.
If you wanted to "Link" the accounts now contact support they maybe able to help you out not
sure but a few months ago a friend got profs and then fractions and made them separate not linked
I told him that he could have linked them and taken his char to both campaigns or all 3 if he got NF.

He contacted support with all the info he had and they linked them for him and now he is happy getting
the most skills and things for his chars that are available when campaigns are linked.
So contact support and see if they can link em for you if you want to link them that is.

Why not? If he has support link the two existing accounts into one and then just adds the nightfall key number to that account.

Don't confuse "account" with "chapter." You can link all three chapters to the same account. Or you can have an account for each chapter. So when you get Nightfall, just add its access key to on of your existing accounts.

I'd tyr to get support to link your existing accounts, first though. That way, if they won't link them for you, then you can decided which account to add it to.

Pretty sure they don't merge accounts. If they do, they do it discreetly.

I remember there was a big discussion about account merges in the Factions days.

correct they not only do not they can not merge accounts.

what they do is permaock one account which loses all characters/loot/items/etc on the locked account

they then issue a fresh key you can use to set it up linked to the first account

this has to be done within a reasonable time i think.

ask support by sending in a support ticket exlaining.

Weird but thats what he told me he had his accounts "merged"
so he could play on the single account but all the games were linked to that account.
Maybe they did it as Loviatar said sorry for my misunderstanding and wrong info.
Thats just how I understood it at the time my friend told me.
Anyway contact support with all the info and see what happens.

When you keep adding chapters of GW onto an account, do you still get 2 extra character slots each time you add one?

If it's announced for the chapter, yes.

For example, Factions said it would as did NF. However, GWEN says no new slots.
