You shouldnt have to worry about the number of spiders you fight. I tryed running away once done with the 2 dryders at the cave, then let EVERY spider come, attacked and took them down. You can fight them all at the same time, no pulling needed, so I dont see why people are saying how many they can take on, just grab whatevers on the screen lol. All you have to do is make sure to keep both enchants up as much as possible.
Yes this build still works, since I only farm for fun now, I use this often. Someone asked for a harder build to use, try this:

This is a slightly modded version of an old prophecies only FoW build from long ago, used to be WY! instead of Endure and Frenzy instead of Flail. Without the extra armor from WY I doubt you can still use frenzy and still take on a large amount of spiders, you might try it though and just pull a group or 2 at a time.
