Hi guys I've been getting really low FPS in WoW since I started playing it (about 15 frames down to 4-8 when I'm in a town). I was wondering if you had any advice for making the game smoother so I can keep levelling.
My system specs are:
Athlon XP 2000+
Radeon 9250
1gig of DDR Ram
Low FPS in WoW, please help!

Well,
to fix your WoW framerate issues, go get Guild Wars, problem solved, better gameplay won.
Sorry, but I had to do this.
Fact is, the question asked is so - pardon my french - blatantly stupid, that all you can expect is stupid answers here.
Please pay attention to what you post, and WHERE!
This is Guild Wars Guru, where does that mention anything of WoW ?

Agyar, how high do you have the graphics settings set currently? Does lowering them help at all? Oh, and you may need to try and sign into IRC to discuss this in real-time with people who won't say anything other than "gb2wown00b".

its not a wow issue, its most likely the vidcard.
i never recomend radeon to users and potential users of wow, since friends have had problems with ati cards (they say wow just does not like them)
also, the 9250 isnt that great a card for games other than the older win98 ones (impo)
a 9550 would work better, or even an old geforce2 mmx400-440 (i know this, since i have a machine at work that plays both wow and guildwars which manages to do it on a MMX400 64meg card ^^, and no, im not skiving off work to play, they are Internet Cafe machines and as long as the one using them has ether a free testing account or a paid/bought account, they can use them with both wow or GW)
even a geforce 3 or 4 works good on wow.
not sure if wow is a totall ati hater, but since my friend (who is now playing GW after giving up wow lol) had bought himself a spanky new ATI, got it home, found WoW hated it like a Jock hates Geeks
, he ended up selling it on to his dad (who never plays games) and buying a cheaper Nvidia card....
so, i always chech now, ask them 'will you, or do you plan to, ever play WoW?' when im building a PC, so i can say, wow dosent seem to like ATI, so grab an Nvidia...
course, it alos looks like GW can manage better on lower Nvidia cards that ATI ones...
*hm...digs out an old TnT card and thinks about testing the theory on the other card-less Cafe Machine*

BTW, your vid card sucks. Radeon < x,600 (9600, x1600, etc) = Graphics your kitchen toaster can push out. Pretty much anything below the middle spot in any graphics card edition is closer to integrated graphics than a solid dedicated card.
