Oh go on, then.
A shadow-stepping Melandru build I've been playing with... PvP build, btw.

12+1+1 Scythe
12+1 Mysticism
[skill]avatar of melandru[/skill]
[skill]wearying strike[/skill]
[skill]mystic sweep[/skill]
[skill]eremite's attack[/skill]
[skill]shadow walk[/skill]
[skill]dash[/skill]
--OPTIONAL--
[skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

The optional skill is... whatever. Disrupting Dagger I use a lot, Heart of Fury's useful. Watchful Intervention I'd use in arenas (though, I rarely take it there).

Equipment? All the various scythe switches - sundering, elemental, vamp and zealous, a high-energy staff, and a sword+shield defense set.

A non silly Melandru build that doesn't need shadowsteps because it's Melandru so it can overextend and kill properly.

12+1+1 Scythe
12+1 Mysticism
[skill]avatar of melandru[/skill]
[skill]wearying strike[/skill]
[skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill]
[skill]Wild Blow[/skill]
[skill]Bull's Strike[/skill]
[skill]Rush[/skill]
[skill]Heart of Fury[/skill]
[skill]resurrection signet[/skill] fixed! 12345

My dwayna party healer that I use mostly for pve, but sometimes take to aspenwood where it works pretty well for healing turtles. I only pvp casually, so bash it all you want. I mostly made this build in an attempt to make something out of using primarily wind prayers, instead of complimenting a regular scythe/mysticism dervish.

This is a mage build, so you'll want to use a staff with spell bonuses, and radiant/attunement runes and insignias help a lot considering the dervishes low innate energy pool.
12+1+1 wind prayers, 12+3 mysticism. Dump rest in smiting if you feel like it.
[skill]faithful intervention[/skill][skill]essence bond[/skill][skill]balthazar's spirit[/skill][skill]lyssa's haste[/skill][skill]dwayna's touch[/skill][skill]mystic healing[/skill][skill]mystic twister[/skill][skill]avatar of dwayna[/skill]
Twister is optional. Take it out for a res if you want.

The basic idea is to enchant yourself with the 3 first skills at the start at the match, so you'll get 150hp for 5 energy every 2 seconds from dwayna's touch, potentially 4x 100+ cold damage from mystic twister, and a spammable psuedo-party heal. Lyssa's haste is your "need moar energies!!1" skill.
I only set off avatar when I get attacked, as it let's me spam the heals and twister as fast as the recharge allows because of essence and balthspirit.

Attribute is your preference here

Grenth

[skill]Avatar of Grenth[/skill][skill]Lyssa's assault[/skill][skill]Rending Sweep[/skill][skill]Spinal Shivers[/skill][skill]Parasitic bond[/skill][skill]Grenth's fingers[/skill][skill]Rending aura[/skill][skill]Resurrection signet[/skill]

I played mostly in AvA and PvE (except the rez in AvA)
Can removes 2 enchantment in 1 hit, interrupt and if you get hit by a melee attack, remove an enchantment. Can remove Parasitic bond for Dwayna Touch.

Lyssa

[skill]Avatar of Lyssa[/skill][skill]Eremite's attack[/skill][skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill][skill]Victorious sweep[/skill][skill]Faithful intervention[/skill][skill]Mystic Vigor[/skill][skill]Heart of Fury[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Some healing, good attack speed. can remplace Mystic vigor for a run skill

if you're pveing and using an avatar build, why in the hell wouldn't you use the PvE-only skill that recharges your skills?

Yeah i've been wondering why half of these builds seem to be missing Aura of Holy Might and Eternal Aura...

the thing about eternal aura recharging your skills is that all the avatar skills are disabled for 120 secs after use so it doesn't really matter if they are recharged quickly or not.

Avatars aren't exempt from eternalaura's recharge feature though. The primary purpose of EA is to keep avatars up 24/7 afaik.

I don't use it on my build above since you're so short on energy on it, having only 2 regen and having to "actively" gain energy with lyssa's haste. I don't always use EA along with balthazar either since balth lasts for so long. Depends on the situation though.

Eternal Aura also recharges your attack skills (not that useful bar Lyssa's Assault) and Heart of Fury.
