How would PlayNC know that she was the real owner? the only proof they have of a genuine account is by the use of a CD Key, you produce one of those it shows you have purchased the game,if as you say someone hacked her email account then what is to stop just any tom dick or harry downloading GW from one of those illegal sites and asking for a password to be sent ?

no
you have two people with the login and password but only one of them has the key
it states very clearly to keep the key (s) in a safe place as they will be needed to recover an account

She has lossed her CD-Keys. (No, you don't need to say "shouldnt have lossed dem" as that would only imply to me that the person robbed is more at fault than the criminal, in your opinion.) |

No it isn't proof enough. As stated previously, if your account got hacked, your e-mail may have been hacked too. As for the cd key's, they should be kept in a safe place, and if you loose them, it's too bad. There's still a chance that with a proof of purchase like an invoice from the store the game was bought from will help get the account back. You cab always ask anet what to do if you lost the cd key. If their answer is they can't help you, then it's too bad.

What if you buy games from the online store? Those get added to your account automatically don't they? I don't remember ever seeing the keys when I bought NF or the GWEN pre-sell through the online store. They just added them to my account instantly.

If you purchase stuff through the online store the keys get sent to you via email (athough they are automatically added to your account) - at least, that's what happened when I bought the EotN preorder.
