GW wont launch

The box pops up, connecting to areanet 0% and nothing happens. Firewall is turned off.

when did this start happening?

I hope it's alright to post here (not trying to hijack your thread!) but i've been having the same problem too. I tried turning off my firewall too, and my connection is fine. This started after the last big update. Thx

Do you have "Spybot S&D" on your pc? If so, after every GW client updates, you'll have to kill the "TeaTimer.exe" process in your Task Manager to launch GW...

ewww anyone who has spybot should never use teatimer, it's a worthless piece of crap... if your internet works fine, try it from another computer in the house...also try unplugging any router youre using and plugging your computer straight into the modem..those are tests that will help diagnose where the problem is
