Well I've taken a 6 month break from GW and I'm returning to EOTN, but there seems to be a problem. Money. I only have 15k atm(which seems kinda low). I know there is the "chest" opening thing but I only have 2 characters(1 all the way through NF, the 2nd only up to the 3rd mission in NF).

With all the new armors that are coming out, how are we going to make the money to buy them? Hopefully with the rep system, some armors will be free(weapons too!). I really wish GW had a drop system for armor (like WoW), would make life so much easier.

You farm, all it takes is time, I mean its not hard to make money seriously, you just might not make as much as a hardcore farmer.

The idea is that you purchase armor from a crafter for yourself. What you suggest would require that every piece of armor be bound to the player for whom it drops. They'd be like green items, but far less practical, as they could not be sold when no longer needed.

Also, I abhor the idea of having to farm a handful of particular bosses over and over to acquire a new set of armor. I'd much rather play the game and accumulate currency in a manner I see fit, and then spend that money on new equipment at my leisure.

Well im selling bit by bit to get enough to get some nifty things and a 15k set for rit. Party search has helped quite a bit, even though its 1 at a time

Plus the armor is a gold sink, which GW really needs more of. Instead of coming up with new gold sinks to take money out of the economy they have worked extra hard at nerfing farming. The problem was actually that too many people had too much money. If they made armors drop then even more money would be seen, and eventually the money would be nearly worthless.
