Tallest shield is probably Aurete Aegises for paragon. If you concider width aswell its probably a Defender (Strength) (strength pvp shield).

The Shield of Wing/Aegis skin is more than likely the largest, then the Defender. Aureate Shields are the longest,followed by Ornate Shields from Factions. Then the Forgotten Shield. Everything else is smaller by far.

Remember weapon scales with the character size, so you need two characters of the same class and same height to hold the same shield for comparison.

probably for the same reason that people like large weapons; they just look more impressive, ie colossal scimitar and fellblade

I would guess the kappa shield/embossed aegis is after comparing all of the shields with warrior attributes. Then the copperleaf/vabbian tower shield for paragons. I checked them in a hurry so I may be wrong.

Smallest would probably be the Canthan preorder buckler, if I remember it right, not that it really counts though being preorder only.
