Personal Capes

umm, i thought it would be very nice, when peoples could have in future 2 different capes.

1 guild cape and the other is then a private cape ...

don't we know all this problem: u want to be in a guild, but u find personally the look of the guild cape absolutely ugly, but u want not simple deactivate it for this reason, u want run around wit a cape, that fits ur style of ur character, but because there exists only 1 kind of cape in the game, its impossible for u .... T.T

so to make a sokution, wouldn#t it be not really nice, when people could buy themself personal capes, which they can wear then in out posts.
Would be only a little change in the options too - the butto where u can switch if u want see ur cape ever, or not or only ....
There could be then 1 point like "wear private cape".

I would find it really awesome, when peole could receive an own cape, simple to be independent from the guild capes too

ezier choice is either be in a guild and use their cape, or just dont join one and make your own personal guild and wear your own cape w/ your own style of choice...That's what alot of ppl have been doing to accomplish this independence/your suggestion.

(Your idea sounds more like if Gw could add personal clothing/accessories/ways to make our characters more unique, which was discussed eons ago.)

This could also start trouble for guilds, as some ppl would go crazy/abuse the idea. (some ppl are just very touchy... )

Capes are meant to be the same for all guild members...

If you don't like it, and your leader won't change it...

You can only make your own guild with your own cape...

how about instead of a personal cape, a secondary emblem that can go on your cape in say a corner or something, that way its still the same cape, but with your own personal guild identifyer

That won't fix his problem, since they horrible cape would stay the same...

And tournamnt winners get already different borders...

personal capes would be PvE only, because only there they make sense... in pvp all will wear the cape of the guild ur in ...

ive made a 1-man guild still for this, but its boring, 1 man guilds just only for having the wished cape is stupid and no good solution, its a solution of lazy bums of developers imo, that haven't thought for a little second about it, that people might be independent from guild capes and want have an own one for looks.
Its really no hard work to program the possibility to have a personal cape and to put into the hero menu under the cape point an option, to change from guild cape to personal and back.

Theres a easy solution how u can see, if someone is wearing the guild cape, or his/her personal one.
Once ur in a guild, beneath ur name will ya appear the guild tag.
For example: [AoD] [NK] ...[~WeZ~] however
So, and wen u now wear ur personal cape, there will then apear beneath the guild tag then a [P] for personal

will look then so: [AoD][P]

when u see this, u'll automatically know, that this person wears in pve his7her personal cape and not hi/her guild cape

Make it PvE/towns and outposts only if a lot of people are going to be touchy about players abusing it in PvP. So either color it according to your team color or it automatically displays your guild cape in PvP.

Hypocrite? I'm sure what he was doing was pointing out how terribly written your first post was. I only put your spelling mistakes into bold, I could have highlighted most of it because it really doesn't make much sense.

Btw, a cape is for a Guild, it's like saying, I don't like my guild tag, let me have my own one. The cape, like a tag, is a link to your guild, by having personalized capes, you remove that link. Makes no sense..

Such things, like flaming someone for spelling mistakes, whose mother language isn't English ist just antisocially ...

So stay at topic please, when u can't understand something, because I or someone else maybe made hard spelling failures, then quote what you did't understood and I'll try to explain it better with a new try.

That u/ ur for example is simple because i'm to lazy to write it fully out, ever the "yo" before it , when the pronunciation of reading the word is the same XD

If i write know your, or ur, people will know, whats meant with it ....^^


PS: i write with a german keyboard setting, so its easier to make spelling failures with it, as when my keyboard would be on english setting

Why I sign is because, I don't always like when guild desires just randomly change cape to something even more ugly.

Take a look at the "mod your own GW" thread in Riverside if you want your own personal cape. It's the only way it's gonna happen.

Well... they could make capes drop or being made, but such capes would only show in PvE areas... the slot is there, afterall...

There could be some quests giving you special capes, for example, Getting a cape like Rukis's, Crimson Skull, Jade Brotherhood, Am Fah.

But as long as they never shown in PvP regions, Guild Hall, Competitive mission outposts and Great Temple of Balthazar included.

you could mod your cape like me but this will mean only u see it like this. i say capes for heros would be a good idea aswell as were on this line.

Looking at the cape chosen in GW, no wonder everyone finds each others capes disgusting. It is the silliest thing in guilds. "I dont like the guild cause the leader wont make a broken black cape with a black background and a black emblem." or "the capes clashes with the colour of my armour." lol

*reminds me of WoW's unique tabards, non-guild, non-forced, and yet available to whomever.

Uh, whats the problem with personal capes in pvp? they become wither red or blue anyway....

A guild's supposed to have a sense of community and unity. The cape is one way to have unity. If you're in a random 80 member guild where people don't know each other, you're not enjoying the guild as you should.

Although they can see each other's names in gold anyways, that's true.
