I was in beta so I know it works/I slide in on the minimums heh.

However if there was a card I could get which would cost me up to (or at worst, a little more) than a hundred bucks and give me direct x9+ stuff and more res/speed/pizzazz, I'd be taking a hard look at it.

havent looked at upgrading in awhile, going to read the posts here - any suggested appreciated - thanks!

The Sapphire Radeon 9600XT could well be the absolutely perfect graphics card for you.

It's exactly $98, has great DirectX support, and will run perfectly without having you upgrade your processor or RAM. I know a number of people who play Guild Wars on this and it blows them away.

I run with a 9600 non pro (not se) and everything has run fine to date. Doom 3 to guild wars.

In this price range nothing really beats the 9600 line of products.

online and really enjoying the game, and my geoforce2 mx400 has kept its head above water for the most part (swapping out can provide white screens though, or more correctly white grounds)

digging in here and your posts going to jump over the bargains (radeon 9250, geoforce fx 5500) and plan to nab a 9600.. thanks!

think with the straight one or add the memory (go to 256mb sapphire?)

The memory won't really make much difference, but if you are comfortable spending the extra £12 then you might find that the 256mB version will have a better life expectancy.

Definitely stick with Sapphire though. I only use Sapphire, I swear by them and refuse to use any other brand of ATI card. Sapphire graphics cards are always fantastic quality.
