I'm on the last three missions. I'm at the Ring of Fire now, but not one person is here. I'm trying to unlock hard mode but I need some help to beat these missions. Henchmen aren't good enough. I also cannot use heroes since I only own the first Guild Wars.

Actually, henchmen are more than capable for these missions. In fact, they can get you through all normal mode PvE missions. It's probably just the handling that needs work .

Anyway, whisper me ingame, and if I'm not busy i'll help ya.

IGN: Marty Silverblade, Nora Moonstaff, Nathaniel Lightstar. If I'm not playing one of those I don't want to be disturbed.

Ring of Fire and Hell's Precipice are both relatively difficult (in contrast, the southern shiverpeak missions which was just before are some of the easiest missions in the game) since you'll be dealing with ether seal towers and titans respectively, both of which can frustrate the hell out of anyone.

When I did it with my war, I picked Thom, Devonna, Mhenlo, Eve, Cynn and Lina (forgot the last person) for RoF since Ether Seal towers drain the caster's mana very quickly.

For Hell's Precipice, I picked the same layout. The key is to take your time with these missions. If it looks like you can squeeze by a patrol, don't. Most of the time they'll gank you from behind and if you're already fighting a mob then it can be GG.

Right now I'm trying these missions with my SS Necro. So far I found one party and I'm about to go in the mission now. Hopefully it works out, I need Hard Mode to farm for money.

EDIT: I beat the Ring of Fire with ease, now I just need to beat two more missions!

** Possible spoilers contained below with regards to tactics against certain mobs. **

The trick to winning with only henchies is all down to how you control them, and what tactic youre using. The hardest part of abbadons mouth will be killing Willa the Unpleasant - and for this you may like to go N/Me and bring a couple interrupts/diversion. Icidentally I find its actually better to kill the ele boss first if its the ele and monk boss together (to prevent team deaths when energy is low for an extended fight) - also for some reason Willa heals himself better than other mobs.

After Willa, the tactics for the bloodstone are quite important to prevent uneccesary deaths. First thing you need to do after getting the boost from the Vizier is to flag your henchies on the path/top of stairs before the seals, but in range to hit only one of them. After you kill the first seal retreat with unflagged henchies up the path a little and kill the ghosts. Wait there and kill a Guardian, and wait again at this point until you see another Guardian going to the centre of the bloodstone. Pull him with a bow, and get your team to kill him. At this point you can now continue killing only ONE more seal, and repeat the process.

Hell's precipice all rests on your calling abilities. Basically, follow this tactic strictly; Titans, Hands, Fists. Not much difference between the Ash and Burning titan, so as long as you only do 1 titan, then its own spawns one after the other youll be fine. Try to never kill two titans at once, or you'll start getting into trouble (possibly). Be very careful of Fire Imps, in particular a combo between titans and imps. The rest is straightforward.

That should work nicely, I only completed both sunday night while I was re-mapping the levels in normal mode, and it was just me, henchies and a couple monk heros / mesmer hero.

Thanks, now I'm at the last mission! Hopefully I can beat this one.

EDIT: How stupid, I go into over 10 groups for this mission and someone either was away from keyboard or left. I've tried with Henchmen but it's too hard without heroes. I couldn't believe how hard it was to get a group going, even though most left during the mission anyhow.

Right now I'm a Necromancer SS Build.

If you are having problems with hench, try switching your secondary over to Ranger and just bring winter. Cynn won't do any damage to titans as she casts fire magic, but winter will convert her damage to cold which will help a lot. You won't get the full benefit of a GC/Winter spirit combo, but will make her useable. With that, your only major problem will be the sparks who can rip you up pretty quickly. Flag your hench and pull when possible.

I did this hench only on my ranger, but then I had either GC or BHA, which you won't have, but as long as you are careful pullin, you should be able to manage. Take both Wars and both Monks, Cyn, Eve, and either Aiden or Dunham (your pick on the last one).

Sadly I found my problem, I was in a lot of groups today and failed over 20 times. I then go into a group and took the lead, for pulling and attacking. I also took about 2 hours with this group which had me and 4 other people and 2 monk heroes since the others left. I got us through the portal area but slowly pulling 2 units at a time while they waited and I only pulled.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPOILER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got to the prince and I made sure we took out that melee group first, then we went for the imps and the prince. After that we killed the Lich King with ease, since I was an SS Necromancer. I guess my real issue was lack of a good leader with other groups that made it so hard. I'm glad I lead 4 people through!

Yeah the Lich fight is a joke, the hardest part was fighting groups that had a Spark of the Titan or pulling the guys around Rurik.

For some odd reason I pulled them right under him without the imps attacking. I got the entire group to stay against the wall to that little space and pulled them in there. However, some of the party members died, but then again I was at 60% DP and took out Lich pretty quit with all those curses.
