That is not a bot finder, it'sa dalek.

That won't do. Some players do the same in the same way. Some of them even use singposts to move just like bots.

Yeap leave the 55 alone bad idea as i use mine to have fun with first and farm second. You are just asking for more ppl and I mean they will this time to leave this and not come back look at what happened to all the warrior runners when the absorption rune was changed they left and those of the hard core GW warriors.

may be anet should figure a way of randomising the spawning areas of monsters, each time a character leave an outpost.

so the bot will have no way of knowing about where to go hunting monsters in advanced.

just my idea...

I have nothing against bots aside from everytime when anet got pushed to do something, the resultant effects always indiscriminatively hit everyone, even the legit players, along with it.

I think the best way to stop bots is make stuffs more available for legit players under their normal play. Make it so the legit players can get all the stuffs they would need/want when they are in a group, when they are actually doing missions/quests (ie. when they are playing the game).

Then, there will be much less demand for the botted gold and/or botted goods. When demand is down enough to the point botters can't make enough profit from their investments, they will stop.

If you nerf the 55hp monks you will make lots of players cry, and the botters will just find another character and build to bot with.

Have a Game Moderator sit in a Farming District and Ban them one by one...Oh Wait! That doesnt work, that means nothing will be nerfed and real GW players wont have to suffer.

YABT: Bots do not adversly effect you except when Anet changes the game to combat them. But believe what you will...I am not going to argue that point. However, bots can be as simple or as complicated as the programmer wants them to be. Eliminating the signposts has no effect on well written bots. At first it may cause problems....but it will be adapted to and adjusted for...again it will only cause problems for players who may want use them.

It's easy to think that eliminating bots will somehow fix the economy and the state of the game and result in everyone having more fun....and that eliminating bots can be done simply and quickly if it would only be done.

Just because you believe it, doesn't make it anymore true than believing that Al Gore created the internet....it just makes a lot of people wrong.

Seriously...who cares? Bots don't impact on my game, they're a minor annoyance or amusement at best. If you don't buy what they're selling then the market disintegrates, but there are clearly enough players who support them that we're just going to have to live with it. I fully support the banning of any and all bots, but it's a pipedream to contemplate a GW without bots and i'd rather keep my 55's than nerf effective solo farming builds. The best we can hope for is either random mob composition in GW2 or smarter skill creation to prevent this from happening again.

I don't believe it's the bots responsible for ruining the economy. I think it's the general increase in the skill level of the player base over time, strong easy-to-use solo builds, HM loot scaling making rare skins more easily attainable and a lack of new content to farm that has driven prices down.

I also think there's a general disinterest in pimping out your toons with rares when greens are easily farmed. Heroes can be decked out with pre-order items so no need to farm or buy items for them either.
