Guild Wars 2 ?'s

Okay, so I was wondering, Guild Wars 2 will allow us to play as one of the new races. Now, will this add extra character slots? If so, how many? Also, if we're playing as a race instead of a profession, would each race have their own unique skills? Or would it be something like World of Warcraft, where you could pick, like, sylvari and ranger? And will we be able to have pets, and is human available to play as? Anyone know any of these answers? I'm uber curious, even though the game won't be out for a while. hehe Thanks!

From what I understand GW2 is completely separate, so you won't need to worry about character slots. They're planning on having this inheritance thing from your GW characters, though, via the Hall of Monuments from EotN. For your other questions, it's pretty much speculation right now (haven't read anything about it, at least).

The details you are requesting have not been released by Anet so unless a Dev decides to be nice and answer your questions no one here will be able to give you any definate answers. You will just have to wait like the rest of us.

It also sounds to me like you are mixing up GW 2 (not due for at least 18 months) with GW: Eye of the North (an expansion coming out next month).
GW2 will be a completely seperate game (thus that character slot question makes no sense).

Yeah why would a new game that coming out in the next two years or more, give extra character slots to its prequel?

And if it is the case that the OP is mixing the 2 games up, just an FYI: you will not be able to play as the new races in GW:EN, though you will get a few of them as heroes.
