Seems to me that being under the influence is just as much of a condition as sugar rush but there is no icon with a timer in it for alcohol.I would love to see 3 conditions added(1 overriding the other to keep it neat) so that it would be a lil bit easier to keep track of drinks.
Also to avoid the coming flame of "cant ya tell by the screen?",If ya turn the graphics down a little the screen doesn't change for alcohol.this would also help those who dont have the computer to run gw at high graphics.

Sugar rush has in-game effects, i.e. making your character move faster in towns. All drunkenness does is to force your character to sit down every so often. Hardly a 'condition' like the other, and therefore does not seem to warrant an icon.
If you're going for the Drunkard title and are intent on counting down the minutes until you need another swig, it's easy enough to do with a simple watch - and the ability to count to five. A person can tell when their character is suitably drunk when he or she proclaims to be the king of the world, or the like.
It's hardly a necessary change, and wouldn't seem to even be particularly useful either.

Spiritual Possession (gained by random use of Lunar Fortunes) is basically the same thing as bring drunk but has a condition displayed. I don't see why drunk shouldn't be a condition as well.
While there are more important changes that could be made to the game, this is a simple one that should be easily done; thus why overlook it?

I'm 6000 minutes drunk, and I think something in the top left (displaying drunk levels 1-5) would be a big help for letting me know when I need to take the next swig. Considering I drink while I chest run or do something other than sit in down and watch my minutes, an icon would help out a lot.
I'm sure most other people going for drunkard or IAH don't want to spend 170 hours of their life in a town with their eyes fixed on their title bar either.

The main reason to add this is Postprocesssing Effects.
Currently, the only way to know if you are under the effects of alcohol is the postprocessing effects, but not all machijes can run fluently with them active.
By adding 5 effect icons, one for each level of drunkenness, people would be able to check their drunk status without turning the Postprocessing on.
I made a similar thread some time ago... let's see...
