So yeah, I was using a VwK build to solo farm in Underworld. I had already killed off a good number of Smite groups, and I proceeded to aggro two more, but after a few seconds of chasing me, they broke off, and attacked each other.

I've seen that happen before when I was trapping there. I've also seen some coldfires lay waste to some smites

happens all the time, as soon as a group gets too large, they start attacking each other... no drops if you aren't involved in killing some. came along with one of the anti-farming updates a few months ago

Nothing new it has happened for well over a year.
Those 3 area's are separate and if the smites get to close to each other they will kill each other, if you agro them how ever they will just all try and attack you.
Very commonly a group from the red zone and yellow zone attack each other where the pink dot is, it is a sawning issue and there is nothing you can do about it.
