Hi guys,
i used to play GW untill the released of Nightfall which resulted in a new AI which made it quite impossible to do solo farming. (mobs kept running away)
That really turns me off and stop playing since untill recently i chanced upon GW again which gave me a slight indication that they had updated the AI which allows solo farming again. If thats true i would really relish the great time playing GW in the past. Will any current players kindly update me which the new AI ? Would really appreciate it.

They're still running away from area affect spells, if that what you wanted to know. "which allows solo farming again" When did they ever stop farming? People still farm even after that AI update, a lot of new solo farm builds were make as well. Hardmode bring out even more solo/farmable areas. Gold items have more % of dropping in hardmode as well.

Although there's this new system, party drop scale. Which supposedly mean you'll get the same amount of drops weather or not you're soloing or in a team. Personally I dont think it's working and solo farm still bring in more gold as before, for me anyway.

Basically its so that the AI that you used to play with that made everything attack you until they were dead has been reintroduced, this is only in Normal Mode.

In Hard Mode , the mobs will still run away to heal ,or run around so you can not hit them, or run away from skills like SS.

However there was another addition that you might not like so much, that which a 1 player alone in a party will earn about the same as 1 person in a party of 8.So now when you are alone you will only be earning 1/8 of the drops.

That being said...there are exemptions to the "loot scaling" as described here...

...and if you're too lazy to click the link:

no its not. You wont make what a single person in a full group would make, As been stated many times its double what a single person in a full group would make.
