At some point can you use your pve char as a pvp char?

Yes. Just take them to the Great Temple of Balthazar and you can participate in all manner of PvP slaughter.

You can use your pvE character in PvP from the end of pre searing. After you do the mini PvP arena, you can PvP with it (albeit in low level arenas until you reach Lions Arch). In Factions and nightfall, there are low level PvP arenas on the newbie islands.

Head to GuildWiki and PvX Builds to get up to speed on individual and team builds. You'll also find a stack of them in these forums.

Be sure to have the weapons asked by your team and the various shields on your character. Some groups will be dissapoined if they find out that you're not running maxed equipped stuff and defense. It's also possible that you require 2 different armor sets. One with extra energie and one with extra health, depending on what you must play.

Running a PvE character in PvP isn't cheap.

The hardest thing about using PvE characters in PvP is getting Olias and Master of Whispers properly equipped for both your GvG and Ha builds ... that can be a pain....

If you're keen on PvP, keep a spare slot for a PVP toon, buy the PvP skill unlock packs and go to town. This can save you weeks or months of unlocking skills in PvE, gives you flexibility to create a team player, and you can craft max armour and weapons off the bat.

I see.Sadly i don't have alot of spare cash avilable. The only 2 friends i have.I just met last night and both have a premade pvp char.I haven't even pt'ed with any other players yet.I'd really like to make some friends.
So far the classes i like are Necro and Elementer. But i prefer the hair in factions to the others.

You shouldn't base which campaigns you do by what their hair looks like...

I understand that.It just makes it more diffiacult to choose cause you can't get all the styles in all the chapters.I've started with prophices even though they really isn't much in the look i want for my char.I'm pretty sure you can't change the face or hair once the char is made so i guess i'll just be stuck with a face and hair i don't care for.I don't really want to start in the midddle or end.

I rerolled my monk twice just b/c I didn't like her hair. *lol*

I suggest just playing the game for a while, with a variety of classes. PvP characters not only have access to all the skills you unlock but also all the items(i.e. runes, inscriptions, insignia, etc) you unlock. So using your PvE character for PvP, at least for a while, makes sense b/c you are constantly getting skills and finding new items in PvP AND getting Balthazar faction to trade in for skills or item for PvP toons and heroes.

P.S.-If you need help whisper me or at least add me to your friends. My IGN is Vala Of The Fens.
