Maxed titles statistics.

As i'm afking on the 9 rings out of curiosity i logged a second account in great temple of balthazar to write down a statistic of the titles maxed around the world.

this is what i got yesterday evening after 200 titles maxed

Well... few considerations. the first 2 titles were largely expected i guess, tho it surprises me how little is the gap between spearmarshall and lightbringer, considering that the first one is a lot easier to achieve.
Seing 25 Connoisseur of Confectionaires yesterday evening truly made me shout "WHAT???", tho i believe is reasonable considering that we're having a dragon event and ppl are farming / buying cheap Cakes.
I was expecting not that many Legendary carthograpers, while the lack of Hard Mode titles was expected on my side.

I always offer my congratulations to ppl doing Guardians/Vanquisher/Carthograpers, cuz i feel their sense of relief in having completed such achievements. i would have sent major greetings to the Grandmaster Treasure Hunter guy but he set his status on "Do not Disturb" soon after because he was flooded with whispers i guess

Do you think this will ever run out?
Some are saying its a finite number some are saying wait til GW:EN extra titles etc..
I'm not so sure this system will be sustainable. FoW and UW are the only elite areas where favour is required to get in(barring passage scrolls) and my opinion is just scrap the favour system completely.

You deserve a title alone my friend for sitting there and monitoring that lot, I wouldn't have that sort of determination.

If anything this will increase Ebay gold buying maybe? but for what, 1/20th of an hour or 3 minutes , mehh. I'm not doing titles for anyone but me. I am the one doing them, its my determination and my guile that I want them. I'm certainly not interested in doing it some someone can get into an elite area that i don't frequent. Selfish? yeah I suppose so. But if these guys are in FoW etc. , they aren't getting titles either so they aren't exactly contributing.

I'll agree with scraping the favor system. On the other hand I'm willing to wait until the rate at which titles are gained starts drying up before I start complaining about this system.

It doesn't surprise me with the Lightbringer/Sunspear thing. Add in a Show of Force and Requiem for a Brain and you can farm both similtaneously. I'm close to finishing both (about the same amount of each) from doing that in Hard Mode.

I actually saw two of the "Saviour of the x" titles on my first idle in one of the port cities the day this was implemented, almost back to back. I was very surprised since I was expecting mostly Sunspear, a few lightbringers, and the occasional of the other somewhat-easy titles (mostly the others above 10% in your statistics). However, I see that it was something of an anomaly.

The frequency of skill hunter completions is the one that seems the highest above what I'd expected in your more long term statistics, though. I agree that the sweet tooths are probably above average this weekend.

They can always add an expendalbe title.

It would 'load' by killing enemies of a certain type (dragons, undead, charr, constructs/elementals, humans, etc)

Once you fill one of the titles, you can change it for a green, a miniature, a mask, event items, sweets, alcohol, etc... and the titles resets back to 0.

That would work for sure... If they had a way to reset titles to 0.

darn. missed that. I personally wouldnt have msged them anyways, but Wisdom and Treasure Hunter would be the awesome ones to see. (hope I get mine when this thing is still around announcing. ) (ive gotten tired of seeing the top 2 on the list that ive made a game out of it, calling out which ones would come out next. lol)

Odd, i would've thought there'd be more Leg Sunspears. Seemed to be alot of them in the first few hours of the retarded favour system going live.

I assume this also means that it doesn't count if you just get individual campaigns completed... which is a bit lame if you ask me.

Nice job with the stats. It's always pretty interesting to take a look at them. I wonder if ANet would put out some stats of their own :P.

For the time that I was on today, I only saw a couple Sweet Tooth, one Cartographer, and one Skill Hunter. People are always happy when they get a "'grats" in the game.

There are definitely more titles getting maxed fairly close together than I thought that there'd be. I should probably log in at random hours again to see if it's a fair spread across other districts, though.

Though when i give congrats to people....a few of them pm me back....what?

And with enough money you can buy almost any title.

And FYI it takes longer to actually get enough sweets than do the tilte itself.

AFK title-farming and AFK statistical research simultaneously?

That's the most awesome thing I've read on this forum in a long time. Will Anet see the results and decide that they need to nerf the top 5 and buff the bottom 5?

A thought that just occured to me, is that at the moment there is a big push to get characters 'ready' for Gwen.

So maybe the data used by Anet, and what we are seeing is a spike in the rate at which titles are obtained, which will phase out as people play Gwen and beyond and drop down to a more normal distribution thereafter.
