Post your Weekend Event Experiences

I got my Dragon mask on the very first festival and decided that the new one looked rather like a ‘dog turd’ which certainly was not going to grace the head of my two lovely ladies, (Ele and Mes).

So, decided instead to do the 9 Rings to up my Lucky Title, (fist time I’ve bothered with this but thought it was about time to at least try and get the first two levels of the title).

Now I’m not superstitious but arriving in district 13 did not feel right so decided, not really sure why, that district 10 would be best.

Headed over and bought 5,000 tickets, (hoped this was enough considering how much it cost).

Next dilemma was choosing a lucky ring. After some time agonising I finally chose an outer centre one next to the nice lady that was doing the countdown.

Joining in with the festivities I counted down with the nice lady, '3, 2, 1'. This proved to be a bad idea as I got a stern disapproving look from the wife who was watching Television at the time. Definitely decided not to do that again!

Undeterred and fully committed to the festive mood thinking ‘oooooooooh’ when I won, ‘aaaaaahhhhh’ when I lost.

Now I must admit that after three hours my enthusiasm started to waver a bit. I, unlike others I observed, was not going to keep ring hopping and to stay true to my lucky ring. This got me thinking and I wondered if I could work out a winning sequence. After about an hour I decided it was random.

I awoke at 3am in the morning with a stiff neck sat at my computer. The lady wife had long gone to bed, unnoticed by me, so decided to leave GW running and sleep on the Sofa as to not unduly annoy the her further.

Awoke, still stiff, this morning and raced over to the PC to check on my progress. I was absolutely gutted to see that I had not yet achieved level one of the lucky title.

Mid-day here in the UK and finally I have achieved ‘Charmed’ Title. Still have a stiff neck from last night but I just don’t care any more, the pain is well worth the reward.

I will hopefully achieve ‘Lucky’ title whilst keeping GW running through the night again.

But I’ve learnt a valuable lesson from last night and today bought the wife a couple of DVD’s and will have to watch those with her and miss all the excitement!

I'm waiting for someone to post a picture of their high ping and say "this is what my weekend experiences have been like so far".

Me though? I try not to participate in them. Maybe I don't want to have double X drops or double faction points. Hell, maybe I don't want double Sunspear or Lightbringer points.

Of course I don't mind doing them, i'm just saying.

I'm glad that Anet provides these events for those who (still) find them entertaining; they just don't hold any interest for me.

Well I made 50k today from victory tokens. No idea why people want them, but I got SPAMMED by people looking for them. Had a few games of Rollerbeetle Racing for fun and now to go through Factions.

I'll NEVER get Blessed so it's not worth going on.
And that kids, concludes my weekend adventure in GW!

Stood on some rings, got Lucky. Yay.
Started to do quests to get tokens for creme brulees. Lag is much better than last time. Yay.
Got to 3rd character for doing quests and Hanso says "No Quests For YOU!!" Hey no fair.
Log onto all characters and Hanso says "No Quests For YOU!!" to 2 other characters. Dude, not cool.
Come to Guru, find out ANet knows that some characters can't get the festival quests and that they don't care and won't fix it. Weekend ruined by boiling righteous anger.

You'd think after they try to make it up to people who had bad lag by redoing the festival after the lag has been fixed, that they would also want to make sure everyone's characters can partake in all of the second-chance festivities. Instead they tell us to take our ball and go home. "Oh well, screw you guys" policies like that make me feel less inclined to want to play, let alone purchase GW:EN.

Did the 4 quests on 7(?) different characters.

Getting my victory tokens on all of my my storage charcters (4) and my main.
Have to level up my L1 Assassin mule so he can do the quests. But that is proving hard seeing as how I have a 3 second delay in everything. He dies constantly :S

I also got the 1st lucky title! Pretty stoked about that. Have a bunch of sweets to sell later on.

Can't get all the quest working on all toons due to some lame bug they won't bother to fix. In short, Can't get the booze I need for level 1 drunkard.

No complains.

Missions should give 10..50 tokens for each rfht or enemy party killed. And 100...250 for completing it.
Otherswise it's a waste of time.

I have seen the ninth circle of Hell and it is situated in the broadwalk games section in Shing Jea Monestary. Where characters are frozen in place and constantly shoved down to the ground by an unseen force, only to get back up and have it happen to them again.

Yes, I've been sitting around doing nothing all day just watching my tickets being slowly drained by the nine rings game. I pretty much got hapless by just lockpicking and recently got charmed, that's about it. I'll probably end up farming for more tickets just for the hell of it.

Did quests for tokens to get the firewater ...to work towards title.

Standing in rings watching my tickets get lower and lower ....looks like I'm making a lot of progress on the unlucky title.

Annoyed about the not being able to use all characters for quests bug.

Working on getting favored in the lucky title track will be able to do it this weekend but sure put a dent in the old stash doing so. Aside from that had some great times doing the quests offered, and even managed to sneak in a few roller beetle races.

My weekend experiences.. Got Unlucky and Lucky title

Ive been making new characters and running them through the Victory Token quests 3 at a time to get enough stacks of Creme Brulee for my sweet tooth title, so far ive got 8 stacks.

As a follow-up, I noticed that by Saturday afternoon, the 3 central Kaineng missions (Nahpui, Tahnnakai, Sunjiang), heck, even Vizunah were pretty much devoid of lower-level players. Kind of a refreshing change.

And that concludes my weekend event. Oh with the short trip to help out with a GoM and Grand Court masters and a little lagging and disconnecting (the latter was my wireless' fault).

I had fun with the quests and presents, and I liked the nicely decorated towns.

And only a few secs of lag.

With GW:EN coming up, I'm saving up my gold. I'm not doing any Lucky titles this time round. Instead, I'm gathering up as many tokens as I can and selling them. I've made a healthy chunk of change doing that.

I can't believe some one hasn't added the fact they have changed the present drops in the finale now so they are assigned to folks and not first come first serve. Something which gives everyone a chance to grab a few. I was able to catch Gaile in international district # 1 for a few games of Dragons Nest and was also impressed by the small Q & A she was doing while attending the event. This reply was in response to guilds in GW 2

I selflessly and tirelessly helped clean up the boardwalk after some horrible litterbugs cluttered it up with their trash. And no sooner was it all neat and tidy when the litterbugs would return and mess it up all over again.

What a fesitval this is. +1 to any one that catches on to what I just did.

got scammed from that festival hat guy, this morning i wake up found that i have 2 hat in my inventory, i did have 2 stacks of tokens, but i didnt /head to that dude, why he give me hats? and i was in 9 ring too!!!!!!! give me my 50 creme back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's why I stored the tokens in storage... just in case... better safe than sorry.

Aw... I almost forgot, Lucky rank (3).
This is the only title that can use my 24/7 Internet connection.

I want a double green weekend again? Have they had one in the past couple months since i've been away?

I did get my mask though...

And used the rest of my Victory Tolkens to buy Sparklers because i don't care about the drunkard or sweet tooth title. ^^
