Forcing DirectX 9 ??

Whenever I run GuildWars, it insists on running with DirectX 8, therefore TexMod while not run properly, this is total bull.

I own Tomb Raider Anniversary, and i can run TexMod perfectly fine with it, which clearly shows my computer can handle DirectX 9, so why isnt GuildWars letting me use DirectX 9??? And is there a way to force GuildWars to use DirectX 9 ???

what's your graphics card? it might be too old to run GW in DX9, hence it's running in DX8.

also, check the shortcut target. does it have a -dx8 tag? if it does, take it off.

That's a pretty neat trick, being as the GeForce 4 Ti lacks any DirectX 9 hardware.
