It this all we get!?!
Charr
Is this all the skills we will get?
I know there is a lot of PvE skills but I would like to see more skill I can use in PvP.

I'm pretty sure that's all the skills. ANet said there will be 50 PvE only skills, and a total of 150 new skills. Every profession gets 10 skills, 10 professions times 10 new skills is 100, with the added 50 PvE only is 150.
DeBron
Yep, that's it. All $40 worth.

I believe this was in the PvP'ers best interest as with every chapter adding tons more skills, there would be a lot more skills to remember effect, recharges, cast times, etc.
dsnesnintendo

I certainly don't recall anything along these lines, and I've been following announcements rather closely.

Also, it's not like you're getting only skills. That's a really narrow-minded look at things.
Exhibit A
GWEN is really supposed to be more for PvE than PvP from what I've seen, which is okay by me. It's about time we PvE players got some skills just for us, without having to worry about them getting nerfed for PvP balance.

About time? You already got 20, for free.

2 per profession isn't really that great. Especially if they don't fit with your build.

On a side note, yes EotN IS more PvE orientated. It's been advertised as mainly PvE for weeks now, from the mini games to the rewards for grinding with heroes. Guild Wars isn't just a PVP game and you have PLENTY of other skills for PVP. It's about time we got something for ourselves.

not to be the antagonist, but PvE has always had more to do than PvP. simply because we can go to some seriously challenging areas (not that pvp is easy) but the added realms and Boss's tend to lean in PvE's favor. with GWEN being 90% PvE i feel PvP loses out on this one. but don't get me wrong I'm hardcore PvE i just can see all of the PvP complaints soon to come

sweet we get to summon stuff... like imps? I never looked at the skills till just now because i wanted to wait closer till release to get my excitment up but I like what I see ^^ Although.. i think there has to be more elite skills right? Or is two of the 10 elite skills i didn't look to closely but I would imagine there would be more than 20 bosses in the game...
edit: I realize they could also use the core elite skills as well.

Well... as both a PvEer, but talking as a PvPer for now, I'm actually pretty glad that EotN isn't adding much, skill-wise.
All the new classes and skills added from previous chapters always buggered up the precarious balance.
Look at Factions... Spirit-shitting ritualists straight off. And Nightfall? Grenth's dervs, SP sins, RaO and all the rest of that bollocks.
Better yet, A-Net even kindly released all the PvP-useable skills' details before release, so's we can slap Izzy and tell him what's broken before it has a chance to kill PvP.
Or something like that.

True that adding skills affects balance, but after GWEN we probably won't be getting anymore skills. There will be plenty of time to balance them. There should have been more.

The reason ANET didn't add more PvP ready skills is because they said, in some video/article I saw, was that there are already enough PvP skills to use and they didn't want to affect the games balance even more by adding hordes of new PvP ready skills. Now you all may be like, "well they always have the time to balance all the skills", but in reality they probably don't. ANET's pushing forward strong with GW2 even asking for experienced programmers in the announcements. They want to get GW2 out as fast as they can, so that as much of their previous fans will still be willing to play.
In any case, they way I see it is, if they added more skills, they would probably be duplicates, or similar effects to other skills. ANET has done a good job, covered all areas that needed to be covered and though PvPers don't get a substantial update, at least they can get to the Eye of the North, immortalize them selves and live to PvP once again in GW2.
