Even accepting the fact that the humans are to blame for the Charr war, that doesn't make the Charr "good". Going back to "Are Charr Evil?" thread: Torture, kidnapping and mass slaughter is always protrayed as being bad in Guild Wars. It would depend on the stats and abilities.
Like other RPGs, there are positives and negatives for certain races. Such as, some are stronger, others are more intelligent, some races cannot be certain professions, etc.
If there are no restrictions to professions, attributes, levels, etc. then I'd go with:
Charr, Mersaat, Human as my first 3. Reason? Looks. Charr look really cool, hunched back, beastial, could look cool in tatoo armor.

I think I'd be Human first... Just because, and Tengu second because I LOVE the way Talon holds his blade. On top of that I just like they're lore/background and general attitude towards the world.

I'm only buying Guild Wars 2 to become a Charr, I'm kind of disappionted that i spent $195 dollars on this game (campaigns, bonus pack, and EotN) and now they're making a new game.
unless they can transfer, I'm disappionted. But, as I said, I just want to be a Charr, and maybe a Tengu.
