How do I know that someone wasn't just playing a joke? Show me images of the item in the thousands, otherwise I'm forced to believe this is just like the old Terror Shield hoax. Especially considering that there were never any confirmed reports of duping or hacking, anet would have made a statement otherwise.

If Anet could stay on top of everything, this game would be flawless if not, perfect. It is likely a quest exploit of some sort. May even be that the chests give more gems then they're supposed to (I haven't done DoA in ages).

go to ascalon id 1 find out yourself if you dont beleive me.

If Anet confirm it exists before it's fixed then everyone will be on the "free when you give creditcard details" exploit forum sites

Fix it
Then say it existed

If not someones got no life or lots of cash to blow

Maybe its a scam from a bug? Remember the bug where it looked like someone was trading you a stack of ectos but it was really 1 (or whatever the numbers were)?

Maybe its happening with these things?

Or some other item that looks like them.

i remember that one. but that bug occured after the trade was altered. someone needs to confirm this by doing a trade or by anet "confirming" this.

Well rampant hacks running wild will quickly kill A LOT of their player base.

No way possible its a dupe of some kind or a masking of some kind. I'm wondering if is possible to change the skin and therefore item name to make it appear as something else? Like Iron Ingots, then make them appear as Armbands? Kind of like how some people hacked GW.dat and made characters with the new armor skins? Or some people make new skins for their pets or weapons. Kind of like screen mods but something you can show other people in game through the trade screen?

Just a thought...

Apparently a few people have bought a couple to see if they are real, they are(well the ones they bought were).

There's too many people doing it to be hoax atm imho.

Just noticed, that bug works in reverse (shows one item, but value for a stack). May be another bug recently introduced that's similar, though.

People are selling Tormented items quite cheaply at the moment. I was tempted to buy daggers for 100k+30 ectos there and then but I can't really trust people right now. With so many armbraces around the value of Tormented weapons will plummet if those with stacks of them are parting with their armbraces (by selling or as parts of trades).
