Okay, it's a dead form of PvP for the most part. It's had it's time, but with the rise in need for quick ways to boost your luxon/kurzick titles, alliance battles have risen up in popularity again.
Formerly, alliance battles used to grant the same ammount of faction rather you fought at grenz, saltspray, or kanaai. This was a problem, since the further you got into enemy territory, you odds at winning fell quickly. Thus, the overall faction gain was reduced for supposedly "winning the war". Anet saw to this and has recently added a boost to the faction gained when winning, while the winning team is further into enemy territory. That means that the further you push your opponent back into thier own territory, the faction you recieve for winning is increased. While this was a step in the right direction, it doesn't quite seem to hit the nail on the head.
My suggestion is to, instead of the "winning" bonus, just add a bonus onto the faction you recieve regardless. This way, since you stand about a zero chance at winning in the enemy's home territory, the reward will still be achievable and not out of reach as it was in it's former state.
This makes the reward for winning (yea, the maps teeter-totter between the 5 maps anyways, I know) more of a reward for what you have already accomplished, not for trying to beat the odds.
I realize that it is possible to defeat the enemy on thier own maps but honestly, the win/lose ratio is so horrible that the reward system in place now still doesn't compensate. Maybe, just maybe, if we could pick our own team of twelve, then I wouldn't have a leg to stand on in this arguement here. But, since we are stuck with 11 other random people (8 for sure), it's really hard to get some strong teamwork and coordination going!
Besides, do I need to mention the faction grind everyone is chattering (dreading.) about?
Short summary: Change the faction reward from an "after winning" scenario to a "just give it anyways, we've already gotten this far" scenario.
Still No "Incentive" for ABing Past Saltspray

Say "Hello" to districts full of leechers then. Despite you need a party of 4 ( not totally free enter like in Fort or Jade), there are always leechers, even a party full of leechers.

The bonus you get for being the underdog applies so long as you are the underdog for the map. You don't have to win to get it. You just have to play well, as the more points you get, the better the faction gain.

I think its unfair with the FFF that us Luxon people have to do Jade areana 923683968945680956times if we want a lot of faction , but kurzics have faster methods. It would be better if there was a Pve even ballance quest reward, because these titles are insanely huge to achieve for max

I'm just tired of waiting for the enemy to push into my own territory before I can AB. Honestly, the bonus may still apply even if you lose, but it's still not worth it (200-300 points usually when a loss occurs = 400-1000 faction?). Johnny Mending and his solo shrine cap attempts really get old.
Curse You
Point gain is increased with each map past Saltspray. Did you fail to notice the change?
Besides, Saltsray is supposed to be the balanced map, but it's actually weighted for the Kurzicks. Etnaran Keys is more like the middle map.

Curse_You... could you provide... you know provide some proof explaining how a semetrical map is unfair.
Anyway, I think the system is fine as is. Heck, you get faction way faster now anyway (they've now doubled the rate you can get the title with the faction transfers). Don't be greedy.
