Guild Wars cosplay at Ropecon 2007, Finland
Ropecon is an annual roleplaying game convention in Finland, that attracts several thousand rpg and other game enthusiasts (the name has nothing to do with ropes or bondage, it's just a short term for rpg here). Three Guild Wars fans decided to finally make something flashy for the con..

Starring: Perynne, Noanoa and Nian

Red Ritualist Seitung armor, Black Ritualist Ancient armor, Blue Monk 15k Wanderers Around three weeks and several sleepless nights of hard work, gold and silver spray, modeling clay, tiny beads, Grimas skin paint, Christmas decorations and tons of Bolts of Cloth and Gold.
Must paint lulz.
Needs moar makeup.
Painting Nian's tats.
Details.
Nian came to the con later so first it was just me and Pery.
And it was a ridiculously hot summer day.
Wammos ahoy?
*gasp!*
/beckon suddenly became /slap.
And there was much /exciting.
And /help was needed.
And also the occasional maintenance.
The cooties were back, too.
And then we aggroed a monk.
And the rits fought till Exhaustion.
And then we all started a /drum band.
Ectos were found.
"ups" said the Monk who'd been AFK.
After which..
..the party..
..wiped.
But we called Support and the awesome miku got us back (and photos).
Everything seemed to be in place.
Then we did some more or less epic poses.
With epic hair effex.
..and it was all MADNESSS!

My main actually isn't a ritualist, but I just love their armor so I had to make one for myself (that, and most ranger armor is a little trickier to make anyway).

I'd certainly love to see other people make GW costumes! Halloween's just around the corner, too.

(and it can't really be hard to make a better costume than those crappy Eves that seem to make 90% of GW cosplay)

Valeria, wow, very nice costume of Bear! Bodypaint can be a pain yeah... my ritualist tattoos were smudging very badly by the end of the day, and I couldn't let people hug me because the paint would stick off on them.

I don't think there's any superfast way to make armor, not if you want to actually have it look good. Try looking through this website, it might help:

thx for the link, i always thoght there schould be something like a sheet of plastic you can form by heating.
Much better than gluing lots of paper on a wire frame
