Report of Insults...

I'm starting this topic, because I couldn't find any others that have to do with this, if there are any, please link me.

Anyway, I am...just fed up of the bad language and aggression a lot of players use towards other players for no reason in particular in GW. I have been attacked several times over my years of playing, I'm sure you know what I mean...being called a "noob" for asking a question or stating an opinion, being severely insulted for being a kurzick or a luxon...etc...etc. Well, last night I had this "straw that broke the camels back" feeling and I reported someone for insulting me (the first time I did that, other times I'd just threaten the person that I'd report them), not because it was a particularly bad insult, I've heard a lot worse, but I've had enough.

My question is: Is something like that worth reporting? Can insults and aggressive language be expelled from this game? Does anyone react to those kinds of reports?

I think, if reporting people for these kinds of actions has any effect, then we, as GuildWars players should do it more to at least try and show some of these insolent people that they can NOT get away with it. Perhaps sooner or later it will die down... *sigh*

Don't you worry. He'll probaly get a ban! I have proof they ban people for bad stuff, take a look at what I got!

You can try if you want to. But you're likely to get nothing more than a few automated e-mails. If it is a common violator, just maybe the person will get looked at. But even then, you'll never get to know it, because they don't share that info.
I say, Ignore List ftw. Also, if you feel offended by the bad language, there's a chat filter. And die down? I don't think it will. In fact, I know so.

if u have to report each of those annoying-insult-spamming guys, u could do this whole day long

about two years ago i clicked on that lil icon and turned off Locale channel and that, once and for all ^^

Forget about ignore list, u cant put lotsa names in that

There are 2 mechanisms put into Guild Wars to solve this. Language Filter, and Ignore List. Use them, and stop QQing.

Blaze "whatever surname" have no rights to talk here he/she insulted me many times ingame in 6 month span and all that just by occasional meeting in game

I'm sorry, but I think it's very unlikely that I would insult someone for 6 months ingame. That's a bit childish, and I hardly to never insult or foght on the internet or in a game, because there is no point to it. Usually I am the one filling up the ignore list and not giving the one being ignored any attention at all, cus that's what they all want eventually. I think you are mistaken me for someone else, because Blaze is a very common nick, and Njaiguni is a name which existed for my character for 2 days. If I did insult you, then what's my ingame name? Sorry, but I did not do such a thing, and certainly not for 6 months.

To get insulted once is unfortunate, to get insulted several times implies complicity!

We shouldn't have to turn off local because people can't control themselves. People without self-control should be reported and banned.

trash talking is part of video games, get over it..language filter and ignore list gg

About the ignore list being limited, most of the kiddo's stop after a few minutes. Further, don't get offended by some 12 year old, cus you'll get it alot on the internet.

try being the bigger person and ignoring them maybe? reporting is a waste of time.
