I hate game stores in london
I got to the shopping center and i go to the GAME store. THEY DONT HAVE GW:EN PRE-RELEASE PACK!
I then go to HMV and i find it. i take it to the counter and then i find out i can't buy it because i need to pre order. I got angry like hell.
at the end my uncle got it for me from the in game store.
I wish I can sue
This happen to anyone else?

Wait, what? That doesn't make sense. Two of my friends in England got it no problem. Although they're just outside London. GAME here sells it for me no problem. No questions asked. Although some GAME stores here do advise you that it isn't an actual game and just a pre-release pack. They don't want people to get ripped off and have a big fight on their hands. No idea why, though, when it clearly says it on the box.

I got 2 copies of the pre box for £1.50 each from GAME, about 3-4 weeks ago. I don't know about that london's GAME, maybe they operated differently. Anyway you got it in the end, so be happy. The preorder stuff on the dvd aint that good anyway.

LOL - and they say "Inverness is in the middle of nowhere"....both GAME and HMV up here have the pre-order packs instore now for you to take away whenever you decide to pre-order.

London is a busy city, perhaps they sold out.
Retailers can do whatever they want with it, give it free when you pre-order, sell it as a separate product, sell it and then give you a discount later if you show the receipt when you buy the full expansion.
Obviously HMV chose the give it when you preorder option.
TBH I'm not surprised if they are hard to come by 3 weeks after release, I doubt stores will have got many in the first place.

Stores don't all do it the same way, however it is something you get for pre-ordering, so if you don't pre-order, you can't really get the pre-order pack.

by the way can i tell anet about this to tell stores that customers can buy the bonus pack? like in the online store...brick and mortar stores are supposed to give away the pre-order pack with a pre-order of the game...you're not supposed to be able to buy the pre-ordrer pack without placing a pre-order...that way the store and anet know how many they need to ship. The Online store is a little different though...you initially purchase the preorder pack but the price of the preorder pack is taken off the total of the game when you buy it after it's released.
It's a bad idea to convince the retailers to sell the preorder pack because those of us who actually want to buy the game end up getting double charged instead of getting the preorder pack for free. I had that happen with 1 of the 2 Nightfall pre-order packs I bought. The first I got free...the second they made me pay an extra $5 for.
If anything Anet needs to allow people to place a pre-order for the game so that we don't have to wade through the lag that will no doubt exist on Release day.

I got my pre-release pack when it became available, because I pre-ordered GW:EN. They shipped it FREE for me while I pay from GW:EN shipping normally.
