Emo Title

Basically a response to the Survivor title for older characters (since they never got a chance to obtain it).

Yes I know this has been suggested before but never in detail and never on its own.


EMO TITLE. (PVE ONLY TITLE)
Using the EMO Title will sometimes cause your char to change its physical appearance via a mask or held item. They are NON TRADABLE, will disappear once you take title OFF and require the corresponding free storage slot(s) on your char to be viewed)

Rank 1 : 2000 Deaths
Title Name: I'm going to the zoo.
(No effect)

Rank 2 : 4000 Deaths
Title Name: People think I’m happy.
(Happy Clown mask)

Rank 3 : 8000 Deaths
Title Name: I'm not happy.
(Sad Clown Mask)

Rank 4 : 16000 Deaths
Title Name: Everything can be fixed with Ice Cream.
(Char holds a drippy ice cream)

Rank 5: 24000 Deaths
Title Name: The System is Broken.
(all emote commands EXCEPT /resign, /favor, any others that affect game play cease working and cause char to sit down and cry -yes a new emote-)

Rank 6: 32000 Deaths
Title Name: I need a Hug.
(Sad Clown Mask, Drippy Ice Cream, Char will randomly do the The System is broken effect and say random stuff (life is pain life is emo, for example)


Maybe add more ranks, maybe 32000 Deaths is too much, I don’t feel it is personally.

This is FOR FUN and is in no way an attack on so called emos (whatever they may be) more of a nod at a seemingly growing phenomenon.

But needs some changes.
The conditions of death would be nice.
I have a perfect spot than to Emo Fram.

take the quest in Gate of toment and hordes of toment mobs to slay you over and over again and you res just besides them so you can afk farm emo title.
So some conditions for anti farm the title

But this one of the most fun titles iff they would use it.
1 for me to max for my big ele she is E/Mo ^^

and when you get the max title you get an emote \cut where you pull out a razor blade and cut your arms! woot self mutilation ftw. Emo smiley-->

ps A-Net would have to do something about necros saccing and having a hero rez.

I was just suggesting this to someone the other day while we were HM Sunsear farming =D. I think I might almost be rank 1.

Could go down the wrong path though..

Step 1: Walk outside outpost
Step 2: Run to a res shrine
Step 3: Pull a large group and remove all armor
Step 4: Let them kill you, you res at shrine, they attack and kill again
Step 5: Go to bed
Step 6: Wake up with a new title

Like i sad a few post before make conditions for it something like no more Emo points after 60% DP
And don't make the emote /cut
Not al emo's cut themselfs a friend of mine is as emo as you can get it and he writes songs, and darn good one's
And i don't cut myself either.

Oh and make it inaccessible to Pre-sear characters. They don't need another reward for dieing.

They already have a mass death title. Legendary Defender of Ascalon. How much more "emo" do you want? And for that matter, the whole /cut command is silly and doesn't belong in the game, even if it would be a light stab at a sniveling culture full of overtly emotional teenagers that cry when their girlfriend or boyfriend doesn't call them.

Me, I'm past that stage. And you will be too.

And then you'll hate every moment you ever considered yourself emo. So don't glorify this disgusting fourth horseman of rock.

AFK titles suck.

well i palyed 1,200 hours on my ele, 7000 deaths jsut under.

i seriously doubt anyone will get around 32,000

maybe max at 2000,
or make it liek 10,000 but account wide.


the /cut emote may seem fun but you have to consider children around 9 or 10 playing,seeing a character onscreen or his friend suing this emote. may try to copy.

maybe if costume changed into all black and the likes. and maybe that emo dance form south park or somthing.

I find this title funny. Being that my Necro already has 10,000 deaths I think this is cool. For all those whop complain about people farming this title, the answer is simple. Exempt it from all accomplishments and only make the emotes visible as a reward. Leave it out of KoBD and Favor system, then who cares if someone afk's at a rez shrine so they can have their toon sit and cry when you tell them to dance.

Getting 32000 deaths stopping the count at 60dp just isn't possible. And not stopping the counter just means i'll stand by a res shrine dieing for a few nights.

All titles related to Death count suck in the same way titles based on experience do.

awwwww I was expecting max Emo to be something like "All the Birds Are Dead" or "I Listened to Rippy the Razor"

My ranger in Pre is going for the lvl 20 in pre title (foget name lol) but she has already racked up 34k deaths.. death titles would be too easy
