when account gets banned do the items?

simple little question in light of recent bans etc, when an account gets banned i imagine they remove the account from the game database,
so does that also mean any items that account held at the time of the ban, is also removed from the game?
in particualr im thinking that some of these "armbrace" dupe people where buying highend weapons & rare mini pets ect ect, and if this is case [all items in that account are removed from the game] does this now mean there are less rare mini pets on the game?
hopefully someone can answer this?

If you can not access the items due to an account ban, then of course the items are lost as well.

They don't get deleted, but they are inaccessible to anyone else until the ban is lifted.

So, in effect, they have been removed from the game.

Anet should raffle off those "lost minis" :\

I think it's tough cookies for all of us. A Police Auction/ Fire Sale this event is not. I know it's good and at times healthy to dream about that Uber item you'd like, but you have to realize that fate deals you a bad hand from time to time. Bottom line is, nobody really knows what has transpired as of yet. My guess is the community lost a few Minis, but we'll probably get some new merch to fawn over come GW:EN,

On a side note, all these new threads are killing me. We need like at most two threads to discuss this event. The world isn't ending. I'd rather hear about something positive for a change, you know?

I have good news, a rusty machete is as good as a tormented sword, they both look like shit too.

Or better yet, give the minipet back to the person(s) that traded it for the duped armbraces. It only makes sense especially if Anet deletes the duped items that were traded.

Did you not know? They are stocked on a separate PC and when its Hard Drive is full Anet calls the local news, drags out the machine into the parking lot under heavy surveillance where Gaile Gray announces the destruction of the duped items (verified by an attorney). Then while the photographers take pictures she dowses the PC in gasoline, sets fire to it and proceeds to drive over it several times with an Anet sponsored steamroller.

Several have not and are sitting on a fortune which as far as I know no legitimate player has ever made.

I know of one guy...with whom I have a major dislike for in my previous guild, he was banned for duping and he had a mini Kanaxai and mini Panda (legit), so chalk up 2 rare minis lost forever.

With the loss of those rare mini's, it just makes those that are held by legit owners even rarer...and thus, more difficult to obtain by everyone else...

As it was, the rarest mini's were expensive, now...
