Cartography Alterations?
Anphobia
Now that we're "returning to Tyria" does this mean the Cartography title tracks will be altered to compensate the new land?
I'm at 92.5% and really don't wanna have to go through more agonising scraping than I already need to

No .
Patrick Stealthwind
no, but i bet if u mapped both parts of tyria, ud get an uber title of exploration of tyria

I doubt it will be anything more complicated than "north of X is a separate cartographer title." Problem solved.

Most probably they will add up as leeway if you add GW:EN.
It's like happened with Grenth's Footprint, the required % was not increased, but the new land counted.

Probably it does not count towards the tyria title.. but what about the legendary cart title? I think this one will be affected.
Rhedd
It had better not, frankly.
As someone who's maybe 5/6 of the way to getting LC, that target doesn't need to become a moving one!
Grrr!!! ^w^

Well. Currenty in Elona you can get 100% without exploring actually more than 95%.
In Cantha is pretty adjusted. You need to explore 99% to get 100%.
But in Tyria, you need to explore 105% to get 100%. You have to use Teleport skills, tricks, go to wird places inside missions...

Thanks for the help!
I'm fearing the point where I need to start using teleporting etc. to get that last bit

No.
There will either be an alternate title, or no title at all.

I'm still interested how ANet will calculate the cartographer title for GW:EN. Most parts of GW:EN are north of the shiverpeaks, but some area's also get added at other points in the Tyrian map. So a simple north/south divider line will not do the job.
I guess they can do it with a calculation of each level/area and count the number of unlocked 'tiles' to the percentage of the right continent/title track.

Tyria is by far the hardest because it wasn't made with exploring like that in mind. I've got all of the Catographer titles and I occassionally come across little bits of the maps without glitching or doing anything fancy that I havn't already explored.
You don't need to have explored any of the maps full 100% to get the 100% title.
I would expect the underground bits of tyria to be more like the end of Night Fall. Just towns you can map to and areas you cannot explore towards a title.
