Question about HoM in GW2
Beasleyboy
If I understood correctly, there will be 4 other playable races in Guild Wars 2. How will the Hall of Monuments work with players playing as the other races? The Hall of Monuments is supposed to work somewhat like an inheritance from what I've heard, but it just doesn't seem to make sense for your human character to hand down his gear and achievements to a charr or asura.

You don't hand down anything. The Hall of Monuments records what you have achieved and gives you unique, different unlocks/gear/titles in GW2.

Then, when Guild Wars 2 arrives, each of these monuments will correspond to special features your Guild Wars 2 characters can "inherit" from your own legendary past, giving you access to exclusive titles, companions , weapons, attire, and miniatures. |

Notice inherit is ''inherit''? :]

I dont think we need to argue semantics, the question is still valid.
In answer to your question, I imagine it won't matter that your characters may be a different race. The benefits will probably be the same.

lol couldn't help but laugh at that... and I'm sure it will unlock something relevant to the character you use

...And it doesn't make sense for Zaishen AI enemies to say "gg" to you in local chat when they beat you in their Zaishen challenge.
...And it doesn't make sense for the game to say "You have been playing for 2 hours please take a breaK" etc. every hour.
...And it doesn't make sense that you can go replay any instance in the game any time you want, with ally NPCs who you've already seen get killed or who you have already killed or who have already betrayed you.
A list of "But that doesn't make sense..." like this could go on forever.
The point is, it's a game, so not everything is going to make sense. And something "not making sense" is no reason to ruin the concept as it would seem the OP is suggesting be done to the HOM. Nothing wrong with Char characters in GW2 getting stuff from human characters from GW1.
