Right, with DX10 games due out soon I'm in need of a new desktop. Just need a few pointers on what to buy and what not to buy.

I've unlimited funds, so I will put together a beast.

Here is what I'm thinking

CPU - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=CP-154-IN

Motherboard - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=5&subcat=205

RAM - ?? 4GB

GPU - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=56&subcat=877
SLI? or would it run too hot??

HDD - ??

Optical Drive - ??

PSU - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=CA-029-EN

Case - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=CA-065-AN - seems too offer the best cooling.

If you could help fill in the blanks, that would be great. Also, let me know if this is perhaps a little OTT.

The video card is not a great value considering that you probably don't need water cooling with a good case and the factory overclock isn't translating into a ton of additional FPS. However, if money is no object then go nuts. For that price I'd go with a PC Power & Cooling PSU, though...they're the absolute best. You already know how I feel about SLI, but again...if you're looking for the absolute max power at any cost...

Are you really looking for advice, Malice, or are you just showing off?

Okay, first off: 8G of RAM, 2 of those cards, and don't buy an HDD. Don't even think HDD, seeing how you have unlimited funds. SDD (Solid State Drive) is definately the way to go. They are so superior to HDDs (and so much more expensive), it's not even funny. Oh, and a BluRay drive.

Have fun, and for the love of god, don't assemble it yourself. :P

Oh, have you tried AlienWare? I'd go with the Area-51 if it weren't for the HDD. I mean, if I'm putting 2500 quid in a PC, I'd like it to have an SSD.
