Climate changing

I think that making climate changes in guild wars would be more immersive.
Changes like rainy or dark cloudy days, fog would be nice too. Dont you think?

Uhhh.... what?

Rain, clouds, fog... you know, climate changes.
Onarik Amrak
And you would implement this how?

What he means is that Guild Wars was not designed to handle such things.
Besides, like Day/Night cycles, it would just get annoying.

There are already such changes and areas with fixed weathers.
Some areas will have zones where it reains, zones where t snows, zones with fogg, etc.
You have to walk to make the wheather change, though, it won't change if you don't move, since it is fized to the very spot you are standing in.

Only mmo I've seen which implemented this properly was Ryzom. You'd have snowy winters, sunny springs, green summers, and rainy/gray/depressing falls.
Pretty cool, but I couldn't help but think that a lot of work had to be involved - and I definately don't see this being retrofitted onto an existing game.

Would be nice even GTA series have them. I dont know if GW engine can handle it, night and day would be a good start. But if they didn't do it in the begining back in '05, I don't think they will do it now.

A day and night feature would be cool. Like different monster types too: Day, mostly conditions. Night, mostly hexes.
Weather could influence the type of creatures you encounter too: Sunny, fire types. Rain/snow, water. Windy, air. Overcast(?), earth.

No thanks. Global warming bothers me enough in real life. (joke)
I think weather and instance-based stuff like in Guild Wars doesn't go too well together. Weather graphics needs to be updated first. Rain looks terrible in GW.

Game Play Changes - no thanks
Maybe if during snow movement is -5%
During Rain ranged attack range is bit smaller but no huge changes to the monsters we find please, just some little things like -5% movement that are hardly noticed
If you want to include the (original) elements then maybe
Sunny - +5dmg to fire -5 to water spells
Rain - +5 to water -5 fire
ect
But i think asking them to add weather and have the monster spawns customized to it is a bit much

Don't really want. I get to deal with plenty of horrible weather IRL. I could even do without Shiverpeaks' snowfall and the ashy air in certain post-Searing areas of Tyria.
Keep the sunny skies in GW, please.

We could use some rain in the Desolation. Maybe flowers will grow.
