New continent/theme?
Tender Wolf
I know that GWEN is coming out and it will be returning to Tyria, but I had an idea for a whole new game/campaign before I heard about this. I think it would be cool if they did an Egyptian/Greek/Roman theme, like Elona is African and Cantha is Asian (don't know what Tyria is, it seems to be all different). I think that would be awesome. I couldn't decide on which one I liked best, but probably Egyptian. I like the whole pharoah and mummy thing, but the Greek and Roman gods are cool too. Of course, Guild Wars has its own gods. hehe

is elona/africa not good enough for you?

um idk if you noticed most ancient armor has a mummy type theme to it..... and most of elona has STRONG Egyptian themes....
1 up and 2 down
yeah, since elona has an african theme and Egypt is in africa I doubt anet would do another egyptian theme.

I would think a Japanese theme would be nice, considering Cantha is more like Imperial China then Ancientl Japan. A Dev even stated that as his own opinion in an interview a couple months back. But I'll list ideas...
Ancient Japan - Samurais, Shoguns, Temples, Dynasties, hell even ninjas (although modern society has made them way too much of a joke), Rocky islands, windy, rainy, all the elements of the country of Japan.
This could kind of be like how GW:EN is an expansion to Tyria, but instead it'd be an expansion to Cantha (an island off the cost perhaps?)
Mayan/Aztec/Inca - Southern America, very tribal, and lush, a deeply religious/divine right/hereditary monarchy in control, rain forests huge rivers, bugs and insects. This could be its own Chapter. (Anyone remember the tropical area from Diablo II? :P)
Greeks/Roman - In many ways they're similiar, in many ways they're different. It'd be better just to combine them. It could be its own Chapter as well.

Sorry to break it to all of yo uguys but GWEN is the last.
You see, GWEN is Anets way to introduce you to Guild Wars 2.
they introduce you to different races. Even give you a charr hero to make you a little more comfortable to being along sides with the charr(its one of the races you will have a choice of being). There are plenty of other things that GWEN is supposed to get you hooked in to GW2.
Theres a hint to what they want you to buy when itcomes out

The world of Guild Wars has at least space for 2-3 new continents, when 3, then the world of GW would have six, like the earth has
Id like to see 3 new continents, with names, that don#ät and ever with the typical boring childish "a"
Tyria, Cantha, Elona
what about continent names like Sophranion, Jormungard, Balflear, Loire and so on .. why ever this boring a-endings.
Anet could make for example a australian based capitle or a north american style with indian mythologies, with something similar like the niagara falls.
the countries of america/ canada offer lots of fantastic viewings of nature (grand canyon)
there's persian mythology, that can be used for a new capitle as for example on add ons, this would be elonian one (key of king salomon and the 72 demons, one fantastic mythology about demons that would be a nice addiotion due to the fact, that nightfall's story handles about demons)
Then on the other side i think. why should new capitles be ever inspired by the continents and mythologies of the real life, can't Anet simple make new capitles on their own, without influence by RL continents/mythologies ?
I think, they can, when they would want to ...
Too much influence by things of the RL, is like too much salt in the soup.
What i hope personally with GW:EN is, that it will be like a norse theme.
And that GW will get one day a better real World Map, where every place is on the map, not only the important ones, which has no ugly fogs anymore, when u've visited everything at 100%, so that the look of the map ingame changes then to a similar look of the map that we receive as posters, where everythign gets shown with high solution, no fog, no thing and best would be, once the world of Guild Wars is really complete with say about said 6 continents (so six campaigns)(7, when counted GW:EN), that the World map gets an upgrade, so that it will look like a turnable globe, so thatthe player has not to change between continents anymore, only to see the map of the continent.
*i want turn my globe around and then zoom ion, when i see on the globe the map, which i want to look at.*

But your making it seem like every continent has to be different from the others. Parts of N. America look like Africa, and some look like Europe. There can be continents with the same land types. Besides, EotN is gonna be the last chapter thing for GW...
But seriously, how is he racist?
OhCrapLions
I still think we need a space/tron theme.

As for everyone else, thanks for your replies. I guess they do have all those themes, I just didn't quite notice them. lol I mostly posted this because I was bored and had a brainstorm. Too bad it was taken. hehe

Dear God no. It was a terrible mistake to deviate from the medieval fantasy theme of Prophecies in the first place.

I mean come on. No one wants generic medieval fantasy landscapes on every corner of the world.
