I am currently reloading my install of GW with the -image command line option, but I will need to reboot my computer soon.
Is it possible to interrupt the process and resume it later or would I have to start from scratch again?
Is the -image process interruptable?

I'm pretty sure that if you start it up after a stop, it will pick up from where you left off. It may have to get the files obtained from the first time, but it will go much faster. Not 100% sure though

Yes, you can close the window whenever you want. And, after rebooting, you can begin the process from the point where you ended it with -image again.
I usually do it on my linux computer, it is pretty safe.

No problem with that, you can stop it and start it from the place you left off.

No problem with interrupting it.
Think of it as a normal pre-login download... Just forced to get every outstanding packet in one big lump; In essence a bloody big update.
