how will the bans effect the rare mini pets?

With all the bans going round for duped items, some of the people who traded for rare minis like the pandas and the like must have got their ac's banned with the mini in their storage. If they cant trade the minis back into the market, there must be even less around. this may be ok for mini malyx and to an extent the ghostly hero caus they drop from chests/coffers so they will still be around but the asian pets and others like the roller beetles might not get relased again so now there mite be only say 10 nagas or what ever instead of the 20-50 there was originally.. making them even harder to get for a normal ammount of gold... do you think its time they relased them into the eu/us markets as well?

yes. there shouldn't be a minipet nobody could ever get except for ebaying.

Actually there's quite a few players who can afford the expensive minipets without having ever ebay'd. It all depends on how you play the game, I suppose...

As to the question you asked,
I think the minipet prices will go up a bit. The price on rare minipets tended to go up now before GW:EN, and because there's even less rare minipets around now, I believe they will go up in price.

I'm sure any mini pet will be sad at the loss of a player more so if it is its parent player, but by golly those lil battlers are strong and tuff skinned, I'm sure they'll get thru it. And if not I hear there is a ingame support service that is free too.

I personally don't know why mini-pets were duped... if I were to dupe something, It would be Ever-lasting beetle juice. I think its SOOO much cooler to roll around a district as a beetle... than say "lewk aht mai meni-pandha1!!1!"

Gaile has said that many more NEW minis will be introduced into GW as a result of the Competitions recently.

Some other people have posted about items on the banned accts, and they're just gone. It's not that practical to grab certain items off of accounts and hold an auction or just release them to people at random. Some people are only temporarily banned too, and there are still things that need to be sorted through with the banned accts.

Although I collect minis without directly buying them (trade between guildmates), it'd be nice to see a few more. It'd be even nicer to be able to get a mini through a quest of some sort :P. The value of it obviously wouldn't be high, but it'd be amusing.

Those ultra rare minis are rediculous to begin with. Imho every minipet and every in-game item should be obtainable by everyone. It may be hard to get (Like mallyx) but it should not be impossible. (Like the Asian minipet giveaways)

For most casual players it's impossible. I'm PvE and no PvP person wants me with them so a ghostly here is impossible to get for me.
there excuse im a stupid PvE noob who doesn't know anything about the fine things about the game. (They think PvP is the thing)
And for those asian pets those prices how do need to get them iff you pay a ridicelous 2200 ecto for a panda or some other nice pet.
I've played 5/6 hours a day, almost every day since the beginning of GW never that i've seen so much ecto in my lifetime

i agree with this. as an owner of many of the asians, it took a ridiculously long time to make enough money to buy one. why are the prices so high? because there's a set amount in the game and no new ones are being created. sure they can make it rare and hard to get but make it so its still available in the game somehow

do remember that they may unlock things in gw 2 if they give you a weapon in gw2 for every minipet that you add to your monument, then people will complain about not being able to get the rare pets..

the only reason why people want them is because they are so rare that they hold a certain prestige. If everyone could have them, nobody would want them anymore. How many people want a mini-pig.

If these items werent so ULTRA rare NOBODY would care to have them, like it has been said already they are just mini-pets which have no purpose other than to collect.

If some minipets are given away in numbers of like 100 somewhere at an other continent it's impossible to get one. The high-end PvP reward pets are a different story, since they are possible to get. But still way too hard imo.
