I would imagine that [wiki]Avatar of balthazar[/wiki] won't stack with [wiki]conviction[/wiki] and other +armor enchants. Anyone have a definitive answer on that?

i dont know how to quote from a website but here is a copy paste from the official wiki:
"Added a cap of +25 to the armor buff when stacking skills. A single skill can still push the bonus over +25. Bonuses from shields, weapons, insignia, and inscriptions are not affected and still stack"

therefore, no they wont, the skill that adds more armor takes the favor, in this case its the avatar, so u will have +40 armor if u use both of those skills

So if you use a Mes skill like Phisical Resistance which gives you 40 armor with Avatar of Balth for 40 armor do you only get 25 or do you get 40 plus 25for the second one you cast?

Armor from spells or skills do not stack above +25. BUT 1 single skill with a higher bonus can push past the cap. if you use two skills you only get the bonus of the higher level skill. So if you use AoB which gives you +40 armor and Conviction which gives +24 your armor would only get the +40 from AoB. The +24 from Conviction is null there for a wasted skill slot.

Guess I'll chime in on the reiteration train;

You cannot stack single buffs which individually give 25 armor or less to get more than 25 armor.

If you stack several buffs which individually give more than 25 armor, only the single highest buff will count. Everything else does nothing.

This only goes for buffs, items and gear still stacks normally.

20+20 is 25.
40+45+40+3 is 45.

etc.

the armor stacking is like this.

you can stack weapon mods, armor mods, and 1 skill

you can't stack more then 1 skill that gives added armor

ok , so does this mean that Ao B will come back into favor ? considering that it provides the most boost to base armor?

im still currently trying to find items for my stackable armor bonuses as well, but AoB seems a really logical starting point.....

i was also reading the other posts about peoples feelings on aob for the fow area so no need to repeat that.

just on the basis of the armor , and added bonus of the speed.

no, AoB sucks.its only use would be something like farming Fow. and there Physical resistance does its job except non elite.
