I gotta say I am somewhat impressed by the skill icons of Guild Wars. A lot of sloppy ones, especially Factions and Nightfall skills, but even then, they look awesome. Certainly a lot better than any other MMO-like games I've played. I could list some more but I tried to keep it to a minimum.

Are there any original, large-sized version of these icons I can check out?

This always epitomized to me: Know what effects are on you. I've had countless melee wail on me with this on them as I weakened them. Not just the picture itself but how I imagine it looking, at the said melee characters, as they pound on me to defeat that makes it so appealing.
