Possibly future idea for minipets

I had this idea while I was playing earlier: I think it would be nice if, down the line, they might give us the ability to make our own minipets, by using a special skill in the skill bar to 'capture' monsters that we particularly like, as minipets. Wouldn't that be neat? I know there'll be people for and against, but personally I think it's a fun idea that could lead to a lot of mirth.

I'd also like to suggest that even if that idea were not taken, that ridiculously rare minipets, like the Racerbeetle, have 'non-elite' versions that can appear as birthday presents and so forth, so that we can all enjoy the adorable beetle minipet. I love those beetles and have ever since I first encountered them in the desert. I really do hope that they make a non-elite beetle minipet, one that does not have the distinctive markings that the prize minipet has. I don't feel that's an unrealistic request.

No it wouldn't be unrealistic to ask for something like this as the 3D art already exists ingame. However, it would require inventory art and some method of making them.

Well, it's just my little idea, for something they might think about down the line, to give people a little spark of interest again when it might wane between updates. As they said, they're not opposed to new things and new ideas, so I think it might really make people interested anew if they were to find out, hey! We can go capture our own minipets! How cool!

Just think about it...you could have a miniature...anything!

I want a Mini-Mursaat!

Would be interesting for a third birthday present. Reduce the number of duplicates that people get by letting them cap their own.

Have to be some limits or otherwise could get a mini Abaddon.... That would be fun to see

Yeah! I think that would be a lot of fun. I really can't see this going wrong at all, especially since there's only so much storage space, so people will have to pick and choose which minipets they want. But a lot of people would surely enjoy this. It could be a special challenge, especially since the skill would take up a slot on the skill bar.

But it would be nice to be able to have a minipet that isn't a pet, but which you like.

in the 3rd Birthday Present instead of a pet, a magical lump of clay that is used like a cap signet, or somthing like that.

I love the idea! Possibly one of the best idea's iv ever seen! Could have a cute lil'mini pet and finnaly not one that everyone already has! You could even make a mini version of yourself!! :O Obiously you'd be unable to trade them ect, so the idea of getting them as a birthday gift is a good idea, but maybe get one once every year? Since maybe once its used (obviously ya cant change it), so you may find a pet you like more but have to wait for your next yearly lump of clay.
Also i know all minipets are animated but, why not give them emotes? Let them dance and play.. even give them spells! Alot of them are boring.. id love to see a mini titan blow fire, jade armour cast a sparkely little spell, the turtle's cannon actually fire! XD

Two words: Minipet battles!

Either have them fight upon encountering each other, or have an arena for your minipets to fight. Sure it's pokemon-esque, but I think it would give them a bit more usefulness other than just walking around.

I like the former idea better actually, just have rival creature types fight each other, but have friendly creature types help each other out.

I say yes! For your 3rd birthday gift you should get a "Mini-Magical-Duplication- Device" (Asuran Device) which can be used when in the area of a dead boss (just like cap signet) to create a mini copy of him/her (I so want Maw, the Mountain Heart).

They'd have to place limits so you can't copy the rarest mini pets like Kuuna and Mallyx but otherwise, no probs!
