I'm tired of trying to dye my armor and cant seem to get the right blend of colors it the right shades.

Why cant we get rid of the dyes and color our armor the way we color our guild capes? it's not as if we get many dye drops as it is, even on double or tripple dye drop weekends, which ever.

We would be able to color our armor with a much more accurate and imaginative color creations and not limited they way we are now.

Interesting idea, but I dont think the solution is unique dye drops. Perhaps an "armor dyer", at which you have a preview screen much like the one for the cape, except for your armor, and when you have the color mixture you want he says "ok, I will need X vials of blue dye, X vials of red dye, and X gold."
/signed that, but its not too high on my priority list. Too much other stuff needs fixing first.

The armrorers or dye traders could ahve such panel, and allow you to make more detailed dyings by paying extra 100...1k gold.

the problem is because the armors have a base color, what you would dye one armor will look different on another. yes the current 4 dye system does allow SOME flexability, it's still riggid and not as effective as the system for coloring our Guild Capes

if we switch to the Guild Cape Dye System we could have a more unique charcter, and a richer enjoyment for the game, plus it could be cheaper lets say color a suit of armor for 5-10Plat or 1-3 plat a piece, sure we lose the dye drops but they'll be replaced with gold.

I think this is a good idea. I suck at trying to get my armor to look the way that I want. I like the idea of it being like choosing guild cape colors.

In the darkest depths of your mind.

Guilds are for yuppies.

How about we do what they have in EQ1? The dye bottles are still there, you double click it, click on a piece of armor, then a panel comes up. You choose your color and the shade/tone of the color. Then dyes could still drop and stuff.

Yeah, the first thing they should do is change the base color each profession have for base color for each material:
Cloth:The pale-brown default color of monk armor.
Leather: The color of lighter brownish ranger armor parts.
Metal: The same color of most armors dyed silver.

Then, apliying the same color in the same material would give the same color.
And you won't have to do things like mix green and orange to get 'gold' in elementalist armors.
