Quick Necro noob question

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but the Necro forum is far more inactive then this one. Please answer me a quick question:

How many undead allies can you have at the same time?

Currently Ive discovered when I cast Animate Bone Minions (2 of em), I can only reach a limit of 6 minions. But some guy I saw a few days ago had 8 minions at the same time. What is the deal?

limit is 10 minions, to get that you need to increase your death to 16

And for that, you'll need a +1 death magic scar and a superior death magic rune. When you have 10 minions, you can summon new ones that "kill" old ones.

Strait from GuildWiki:

"A Necromancer can control only 2 minions with 0 points in his Death Magic Attribute. Every two points after 0 allows control of another minion. A Necromancer can control up to 10 minions at Death 16. Thus, a secondary Necromancer can control only 8 minions."

When I feel the need for that I just go to Diablo 2, without hacks you can get 20 warrior skeletons and 20 mage skeletons and a golem. With hacks you can get 99 warriors and 99 mages and a golem and 99 of another that is just a reanimation of the enemy, but they only last for a couple minutes.

and theres an insignia u attach to ur boots that cuts dow the casting time of minions, the name always slips my mind

With the insignia system, they don't have to go on your boots anymore. When I figure out a new dye combo for my scar armor, I'm putting it on my head gear with the sup. death rune on it.

For those who didn't know, before all the armors started coming with free insignia slots, the bloodstained feature was only available on boot armor.
