Long Sword -- Or not?

Hi guys,

This is my first post so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong

Anyway, I have a little question. I started a new character today and was happily farming and picked up this sword without realising. I thought it was just your bog-standard blue Long Sword. However, upon closer inspection, and some research on the Guild Wars Wiki, it looks EXACTLY like a Crystalline Sword.

Now, I'm confused. Nowhere on the wiki does it refer that a Long Sword may sometimes appear as a Crystalline Sword, or vice versa.

What's going on? :/

Also just as an afterthought;

I have bad luck. I was out farming with my friend and we killed a stone elemental I think it was, guess what it drops? Vial of Dye [White].

I was like OMG YES PLEASE BE ASSIGNED TO ME.

Alas. It was for my friend.

Yes, it is a well known quest reward item. Many of them (Especially in pre searing) have different skins to what they are.

Ahh right. I thought I'd stumbled upon something unique and perhaps even a bug here

Would it be worth much to sell? Or should I just keep it

I have a couple of those myself, keep them to give my newb warriors until they can use something better.

Some mesmers like to use them with Illusionary Weapon because they look cool.

That's a quest reward from the 'Prize Moa bird' quest, I didn't think they dropped from farming though.
