I kept thinking to myself they looked familiar and it was killing me that I couldn't pin-point what they looked like. Then it hit me today when I altered the nose. They look remarkably similar to Stitch, from Lilo and Stitch.

I think the design was derived from a koala bear(because of the nose and eyes) and a rabbit(furry and long ears).

Thanks a bunch. I had not made ANY connection with Asura and Stitch, and now that I have that firmly in mind I have NO intention of using the hero. Stitch! Argg, what a creepy, freaky toon!
