Sorry I don't have a solution - but I was looking for a way to check your posts and threads. I happened to find this thread, and then proceeded to where I can check my information... and the same vB message came up. Never checked it before, so can't say how long its been happening -_-

Users have no access to search (which is required to view previous posts) You have to subscribe to any thread you might wish to go back to.
I know it's not great, but if search was enabled for everyone this site wouldn't work.

As Malice stated, search had to be disabled due to the heavy server load. Certain moderator functions, such as thread merging, can't be used anymore either for the same reason.
The workaround I've heard is to subscribe to threads you want to keep track of.
As you're posting in a thread, there's a segment labeled, "Additional options," and right under Attach Files is Thread Subscription. If you subscribe to a thread, you can track it in your User Control Panel (User CP).
This might get a little annoying, but you can change your settings in the User Control Panel, under Edit Options, to automatically subscribe to threads you post in without e-mail notification.
It won't work retroactively, but it's better than nothing.

How about people who are just now starting to post in the forums but been a member for a while?
I've been a member for guru forums for a while. It is nearly impossible to find past threads I've posted. Because I did not know about this thread. Or was not told about subscribing because I simply thought I could just browse my own posts with the user cp, no problems at all.
Have you thought about changing the forum system or server?
There are a billion other full-on forums out there that have its search function very versatile. Especially having thousands of members with new people registering to it everyday.
Perhaps have a certain moderator or administrator that strictly has the task of receiving pm's from users asking for a 'Find all post by...'. Copy and Paste the links. It may be hard work but is not for the interest of the users of this forum?
Every time someone registers to the forum they are sent a validation. How many of these people actually post on the forums? Maybe if you can somehow encourage people to actually be active in posting, delete/ban those who aren't (bots maybe), it wouldn't cause a hang up in the forums search engine.
Or! Forum upgrade.

Nothing is broken. Reduced features is what happens when the load begins to exceed server capacity.
If you know of a major English Guild Wars fansite that hasn't undergone these problems at some point, I'd like to hear it...
And to preclude completely incorrect statements-
*GWOnline has crumpled for long periods, as GWG has, under extremely heavy loads, during the peaks of GW popularity, or when the servers went down, during the rollback. Additionally, like GWG, GWOnline disabled searching for posts, and even prevented guests from viewing the forums until they were able to upgrade the servers. GWOnline was incorporated into incgamers, and has since not had such problems, to the best of my knowledge.
*GuildWiki has had some very hard times in the past, keeping up with the heavy loads running a wiki entails, but through repeated upgrades, and having its community split with the official wiki, it's not an issue any longer.
Wizards of the Coast's own forums, and yes, this is not Guild Wars related, had to disable search globally for users due to server loads, and they're a commercial company backed by quite a bit of money.
A sentiment I'd like to restate for the umpteenth time to the general populace; If you're adblocking, you're in no position to complain about our inability to get the server upgrade online, or the reduced features.
Thanks to the people who understand the situation, or are at least trying to, the rant's not directed your way.

Please don't go about making pointless 'threats', it makes you look pretty foolish.
Large sites like this get people from ALL OVER THE WORLD using it, we not talking a couple of people but hundreds of people.
I've seen all sorts of sites go down due to overload, we had to disable that feature to keep the site up, for EVERYONE!
