Those of you with the "get over it" attitude need to pull your elbows in and learn to make room for people with different definitions of fun. The availability of more modest armor would take nothing away from those of you who list strip naked and dance in AC Dist 1, while allowing others to play characters they don't find embarrassing.

I can definitely sympathize. I simply can not play a male paragon for similar reasons: the face and armor choices make them look like ... well, lets just say it's not the way men where I'm from like to look. I don't think it would hurt too much add some more "functional" armor choices to the fantasy armors already available.

The problem with that post wasn't the belly part - it was the "fugly fur" part.
There might be an armour that will cover up everything - BUT it might be considered ugly. That was my problem - if the player wants a full body suit while ALL other armour options are just stretched bikinis - then style might be out of the question IF the body suit happens. Just because it would be the ONLY option.
Just so that we don't get: "Okily, THIS covers up everything BUT is beyond ugly so I refuse to buy it! ARGGGGHH!! There still is nothing good to wear!"
That was the part I had a problem with - the covering up the belly IS variety so it's most definitely fine by me.

And the 'ugly' argument came second, the argument which came first was that it STILL didnt cover the belly. And not the area above the breasts either by the way.

Like I said, I rather wear a burka then any of the stuff currently around. Cover first, style second.

Being a female in real life, I find these armors detestable and insulting. It's supposed to be platemail, and leaves all the important parts uncovered. There is no armor at all that covers the entire torso, NONE! Most don't even come half way. The only one slightly acceptable in my book is Obsidian Armor as it manages to cover quite a bit, but I don't feel like ebaying some gold to be able to afford that huge price tag.

So can I please have a female paragon armor that covers:

* Belly
* Area between and above the boobs, no clevage dammit!
* Neck
* Arms from elbow to wrist
* Feet and legs upto the knee
* Waist to knee
* Preferably shoulders and upper arms

With cover, I mean cover with solid platemail, not the semi-transparant white cloth stuff that surely looks 'great' when wet.

Or simply has an undersuit, like the grey suit seen at the knees and waist of the female templar armor.

For comparison:
Warrior female sunspear, krytan, tyrian, shing jea, ancient, canthan, kurzick armor is GOOD
Warrior female luxon, vabbian, ascalon, charr hide, gladiator, platemail, templar/elite templar is BAD

Two points

1. There should be modest, skimpy, and naughty armors for every class.
2. @ the OP: why didn't you just wiki the classes and armors to begin with? Paragons have that greek/roman thing going on so they aren't going to be as armored. BTW, full plate didn't come about until the end of the era of knights in europe so if you ask me, any class having full plate seems a little unrealistic, especially if there isn't a gun toting class in GW2.

If you want too look modest, be a dervish, you can wear a carpet and look like a table when you sit.

No seriously, what's with the belly thing? I mean most of the time you're looking at the back of your character. So unless you find bare lowerback offensing (??) what's the problem?

ANet has plenty of variety and people still complaining they don't have armor that has this or that, are a bunch of ........ fill in the blanks.

I agree that players should have the option of more modest attire.

We've all witnessed male warriors running up to female toons and doing their little hump dance. Some female players find this unwanted attention objectionable and the devs would certainly be doing these players a favor by making less revealing outfits available to them.

Other profs have armor sets ranging from pasties/g-strings to sackcloth (well, except dervs - they're pretty much stuck with sackcloth), why shouldn't paras?

As a female GW player I can honestly say that female Paragon armor doesn't bother me. I love the way my Paragon looks. She has this short bob haircut, she's the tallest I could make her, and her armor shows off her slender yet shapely figure. Why should she hide her body? Most people don't care about how revealing their toons armor is and so ANet isn't likely to make more modest armor. If you don't like it make a female W/Mo. They're as covered up as it gets! Honestly...I'd expect people to complain more about female Elementalist armor. They walk around in lingerie for Dwayna's sake. *shrug* I guess halter tops and mini shirts are worse.

The OP's complains are valid, even though I don't see revealing armor as a problem myself. Some of you people are really inconsiderate. She is just expressing her wish for more plain armor, she isn't saying that everyone should have to cover themselves, or wear said armor.

As it stands, paragon armor is one of the most unimaginative armors avaliable, they all look more or less the same. More variety wouldn't hurt things imho.

How the hell are you going to be flexible enough to throw spears if you're covered head to toe with heavy plates?

Look at real life, spear throwers are generally skirmishers wearing light armor, not heavy plates and chain.

First of all, to the posters bashing the OP for being a prude: tolerance of diversity begins at home. Also, oppression is about being made to do what you don't want to do; being forced into pantyhose and heels is just as oppressive as being forced into a burka.

Second, this is an RPG. Some players really get into the development of their characters, to the point of thinking about armor design in practical terms. I can sympathize; I worked hard to get my assassin into Kurzick 1.5k armor because I thought it was ludicrous for a dagger user to leave her abdomen and thighs exposed. How exactly does such behaviour harm any other player?

Third, paragons do suffer from a serious lack of variety in their clothing options. Every single female armour consists of a croptop and miniskirt, without exception. To me this boring uniformity smacks not of sexist objectification but of neglect. Why waste a design team's time on a class that has been all but disowned?
