Hourglass Staff - what is the glitch?

I have read in a few posts that there is a glitch on the /bonus weapon the *hourglass staff* that needs to be fixed because its so annoying. However, exactly what the glitch is is not mentioned. I have done a few searches and nothing comes up.

I have equipped a few heros with that staff and run around a bit but I do not see the glitch.

Just for curiosity sake will someone tell me what the glitch is?

have your heroes attack, you may notice that the hourglass staff seems to have a rather bright flashlight effect

I doubt seriously that it's a glitch though, seems like something that had to be added on purpose.

Whenever my heroes wand with the Hourglass staff, a weird Radar effect pops up and disorients me in the process. It gets annoying, but not a big problem.

I found a sort of "bug" where you can get multiple bonus items(useful if you want to use a bonus item, and give one to a hero):

1) type /bonus.

2) Give weapons to heroes.

3) Drop the heroes.

4) type /bonus again.. and vwhalah..

As long as you have plenty of heroes, you can get quite a few bonus items. Of course you can't really "gain" off this, because they can't be salvaged or traded, but it's nice to have items for heroes.

not a bug. It's intentional. And you don't need to drop the heroes. So long as an item isn't in your bags/inventory, it will spawn with /bonus.

oh, didn't know that. Well, it's useful.

yep, you can spam the bonus weapons as many time as you like. But you have to be in town or outpost and if you already have them in the bag then they wont turn up. Yeah those bonus stuff are great for heroes, better now as well since you can mod most of them.

so the glitch isn't really a glitch... just something people want to complain about...

perhaps its supposed to work like that because its a bonus weapon? does it improve or degrade your play experience? does it affect in any way the game? or is it just an animation?

my zhed has it, my low level dunk and tahlkora have... im more concerned about the Rain Terrors when i take my zhed than if the animation of his attack is what it should be...

just my opinion.

a bug is that you cant put these items in storage, but if you replace with another weapon from within storage they go in.
