release day question for GS...

Knowing that gamestop.com has a release day of august 31st (and the day the server goes live) do you think they will have the games on that day (and past history showed they had on release day i think) or can we expect it on sept. 1 due to "shipping day". Reason I ask is bc I have a 10% off coupon that exp. on the 31st and every little bit helps

Well i've ever used GS.com but from Play i normally get games before they come out, soon as they come into store they seem to ship them, the other week i got a DVD 3 days before it's release date

Hopefully as the servers wont be live until the 31st they can ship them early so everyone can play at same time

Talking from a UK perspective.

Nightfall was shipped to the shop - GAME 2-3 days before the server went live.
They began selling it 1 day before it went live, mostly for the pre-orders.

In Australia, I got my copy of Nightfall a week before the game went live when I preordered from EB. I have no idea how efficient gamestop.com is, but I would assume they would try and get the game to you before the day it goes live, so that you can get on straight away and start playing.

My Play.com copy of Prophecies arrived the day the servers went live and my Amazon.co.uk copy of Nightfall arrived the day before the servers went live.

You're always taking a risk (especially if postal workers are having disagreements with their bosses), but things usually arrive in time.

To be more clear, I preordered my game instore at gamestop and used gamestop.com as a reference, but it sounds from the posts so far that they will be getting the games before the 31st. Im pretty sure thats how it was with previous campaigns so I'll have my fingers crossed

Any other insite will be great though the ones who provided were a great help too
