This idea is simple:
Now:
01. Double click Kit.
02. Click item.
03. Go to A until all items identified or salvaged or kit used up.
My Suggestion:
01. Double Click Kit.
02. Press and hold Shift.
03. Shift-Click item.
04. Go to 03 until all items identified or salvaged or kit used up.
05. Release Shift.
That is, instead of having to double click every single time you identify, by holding shift, the client would automatically use again the kit for you, servers will feel no difference, since the client would be the one using again the kit.
Both system would stay,of course, just by not holding Shift you will be able to click and click and keep damaging your hand bones as much as you want like now.

Hi MithranArkanere,
That's a perfect idea, which everyone who would like to avoid obsessive compulsive disorder should to sign for. (Control is the key to do that in Windows for multiple non-adjacent items, and shift is its key for adjacent ones; so perhaps control would be appropriate, if it is available.)

Wanted this since the first time I salvaged an item in Guild Wars Prophecies!
Best Regards,
Chris. Dratz

This is the second 'Metacarpal tunnel suggestion'
I hate having to leave the game for some time due to finger damage, but it may happen.
This is my other 'save our hands' suggestion:

Those that agree with this may want to have a look at it.

One steel ignot.. two steel ignots... three steel ignots...
*40 steel ignots later*
Okay, now golds. One gold ID... Two gold IDs... Three gold IDs...
*50 golds later* One pack of sticks... IM GOING TO EAT MY FINGER OFF!
Yeah, I hate IDing 30 golds in a row. Especially when they are on 4 pages, so I waste at least 10 minutes a day of IDing. And that is above hour in a week. I want that system!

Are you aware that if you ID any drop from a "lvl 20" zone that's not a collector item, you can get much more off if it when you merch? ie a white longsword may sell for 49 gold, but you ID it and it now may sell for 72 gold. Multiply that by a full inventory and that's a lot of gold gain, just by IDing first.

I think I understand why materials sell in controlled stacks of ten or just one at a time... it's because the prices rise and fall as demand rises and falls, so you might have a stack of steel ingots that sell at, say... 160g each for the first hundred, then 150g for the rest. I've seen material prices drop as I was selling, so it's entirely possible to cross a certain threshold. And with others constantly adding to/taking from the community supply, there's no way to set a good mass limit.
Still, I wish they'd change it so you can choose between selling 1-10 or even 1-5 of a rare material at a time. Anything's better than having to click three or four times for each piece of material.
/sign for the ID and salvage kits idea, too. I ID pretty much everything I get after a certain point in the game and the constant double click gets a bit old.

That's true, materials traders should ha updown control to allow inputting how many items you want to sell, and a start selling an cancel button, so the clients stat selling piece by piece automatically, and stops que you hit cancel.
Althought the suggestion is different, the 'save our hands' spirit is the same.
