Just wondering if we can get an online purchase of the GW:EN before August 31? Would love to be able to get on with everyone else since my place tends to get these boxes a week or a month after release at worst.
Anyone from Anet care to answer this?

you can buy from the online store (in-game)
you wont need the actual box or anything, the installation CD etc. Its all done online. So you can actually be up and running that day, no deliveries needed

which is the question. since its not yet on the site i assume it might be there but when? since the game officially opens on on August 31.. would like to have the ability to purchase the game on or before that time comes.
Sides.. would be the best choice if i am to get the bonus events if i buy something from anet's online store.

open guildwars, log in...top right hand corner of your screen should be a button "enter store"
you can pre-order from there

The full product will be available from the stroke of midnight on the 31st of August onwards (that's midnight at the beginning of the day, not the end, PST).

Personally I hope the game is available to buy and download content before the 31st, otherwise the shop will break and the game will lag to a stand still.

well last i checked it was still that bonus preorder pack thats on the site. not the pre-order for the GW:EN thing
And yah i personally hope it gets available before the 31st.

All the content you will be downloading will only activate when you go to towns, or leave towns in EoTN.... I doubt they will do any major downloading before it comes out. The only content they will allow to download would be just enough activate the quest to travel over to EoTN.

Just the quest to get there? Don't you also mean the content when we get there as well?

So for those of us who have paid for the Pre-Order.... is there any content available to us yet?
And how much more will we have to pay for the full version?
I didn't really get the whole Pre-Order thing.
At first I thought it was paying for the game in advance so it activates as soon as it becomes available..... but the price for the pre-order was so ridiculously low that I can only assume it was for bonus material and has actually nothing to do with buying the game itself.... which in and of itself doesn't make much sense.

The pre-release bonus pack comes with three unique weapons and gives you access to the sneak peak weekend on Friday. It also takes the money of your purchase of GW:EN, so if you buy it all from the official store, you're getting the bonus things for free.

That is incorrect. Most of the GW:EN files are already on your computer (hence the massive update about a month ago). Right before GW:EN goes live, there will be another large update containing updated files (this info is based on the last 2 expansion releases). If you want to be able to jump straight into playing, I highly suggest adding -image to the end of your GW shortcut so you can download all the files pre-launch and not have to decompress them when you enter the game.
