Better to sell weapons or inscriptions?

Might find me roaming around doing missions in hard mode...or maybe I'm lost in the Underworld...

While working on treasure hunter and wisdom titles, I get a lot of great gold items, many with somewhat rare skins and great mods. A lot of the skins are listed in the 10-15k range in the Ventari Sticky. But it seems like no matter how rare the skin is (unless it's something like an elemental sword), it does not sell - even if it is perfect. Do inscriptions sell faster? I hate wasting time standing in a busy district trying to pawn off my goods at prices I know are way below what they are worth. The question is, what makes more sense if I want to sell quickly:

A) Salvage mods / inscriptions such as Hale +30 or 15^50 and sell

B) Continue to try to sell the rare skinned weapons with the mods attached

C) Mix and match the best mods with the best skins and make uber stuff to sell at jacked up prices

your best bet is probably going to be a mix of all 3 to be honest.

Weapons, mods, or teh "ub3r we4p0n" as you put it will only sell as fast as there is someone who will buy it. so whichever you see that you can sell faster is probably going to make you the most money over the long run.

ok here is what I do:

I salvage max mods of interest off any high req items. I focus on +5, +30, sundering 20/20, Zelous and ferious mods. For staffs HCT, HSR, and +5 and +30 heads.

For req 9's with good inherant or inscribable I will make a good weapon. SPecially for leet skins like Zodiac and such. Ill add HCt HSr +30 to or Zelous +5 and such and try to sell them

Then here is the trick to shorten you time. Jump intothe heavy trade areas like LA, KC and kamadan. Press P and look for WTB. See if a buyer wants your stuff and sell it to them. If your standing in town selling off stuff put your uber weapon in party and see if it sells. I never sell for longer then 30 min and I move a good amount of my stuff.

One last thing, I know this will sound noobish, but I will state my reason also. I never sale anything over 100K and usually sale for cheap. If I price check an item at 50K I am likely to sale at 25-30K. My reasoning: if it sits in storage I gain nothing, merch maybe 500G, so if I sale at 25K I made a prfit of at least 24.5K. that worksfor me. Like the old saying a bird in the hand is better then two in the bush

I just can't be bothered selling any more!

I salvage perfect mods I want for some of the few prefered skins I have.

The rest I give to guildies free

an item is only worth what people will pay for them. the weapon upgrade price thread is fairly outdated.

salvage the mods off of weapons without good skins and sell separately. if its on a rare skin, just leave it on there so you don't risk breaking it. as for the third option, most of the people in the game won't pay extra for existing mods as chances are they're probably replacing it anyways.

also realize if you're standing in town trying to sell something for hours with no success, chances are your price is a little high. only way you're going to get that high price is if you catch someone who wants it right away without looking for a better price.
